Thank you very much for your kind words and welcome to the channel.lots of people had to emigrate back in the day money and work was scarce my own father and his sisters had to go to the United Kingdom to find a living to earn and sent money home.Cavan is a great place I know the towns well from Ballyconnel to Manerhamilton excuse the spelling.I used to be a sales rep and went to all counties in Ireland, I can truly say on a fine summers day Dingle is one of the nicest places that I have ever been.Glad you enjoyed the video and seeing the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way ☘️🙏👍

@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise How lovely to get your reply!!! I seldom cross paths with anyone who knows Co. Cavan. Its a rare thing. Ballyconnell was exactly 2 miles from the farm (on the road towards Ballinamore). Back in those days there were no numbers or anything like now. In the mid 1960's we still went into "town" in a horse and trap. I was animal mad. the horses and dogs and cats and baby calves etc were my friends. I had a wonderful childhood. And here I am now but I live about 50 kms North West of Toronto in what was a small town but it is really now a City. However, I live in the old part of town. I am surrounded by 100+ year old Maple Trees. I am lucky I have a fairly good sized garden and a very quiet area. I am so happy at the weekend to enjoy my house and garden. Perhaps on one of my trips home I will get to see Dingle and Tralee. Thank you for your video. I suscribed so if you post more I will see them. Blessings 🙏

@@ruthbickerstaffe1915 You are more then welcome, I always reply to people whom comment and ask questions starting with please and thank you 👍.I must say there is nothing more satisfying being a RU-vidr, then to hear wonderful stories like your own like growing up in Ireland, and horse and carts being going into town and friends with all the animals it sounded like a amazing upbringing.It also sounds like a place of serenity and solitude were you live now, with grand maple trees, a great garden and a quiet area.I can picture it in my minds eye.I am so glad you are happy were you live now and I do hope you get to visit Dingle of Tralee and even Killarney which still has horse and cart rides.You can take a person out of Ireland, but you can't Take Ireland, out of a person and you sound like a most pleasant person.Thanks again for you great story comments and subscribing.☘👍
