I am coming off this slowly. I never abused it but am dependent on them. I have severe back pain but I have been severely itching. I am tired of it. Now I am halfway there. I am getting teeny blisters on my chest and neck. This is the weirdest stuff I have ever been on. This is a really really bad drug! I was told it wasn't a narcotic when my doc put me on it. I am still in severe pain but I chose not to be owned by any doctor. Thanks for talking about alternatives and bringing up the fact you can get blisters. BAD DRUG!!
I take Tramadol to relieve Myalgia pain, and what I've found is that it's really a quite strange medication (although I wouldn't be without it--no way). The "strange" part is twofold: I find that I absolutely have to take Tramadol with food, else I'll sometimes (not always) get a "pukey" feeling--had to take Emetrol for nausea until I learned how to take the med properly. Another really weird thing is if I take Tramadol, sometimes it "kicks in" in a few minutes--at other times it takes up to two hours. Bottom line is the medication allows me to lead a happy and a productive life without being homebound by pain. I wouldn't wish Myalgia on anyone!
I just started taking Ultram with gabapentin for severe chronic sciatic pain in both legs and lower back. I've had 3 surgeries. MRI shows extensive scar tissue and inflammation. I don't metabolize opiates (morphine makes me very sick). So far, this is really helping my debilitating pain. What do you think about the combination of these two drugs? I was taking Tylenol 3..three times a day..and it didn't touch the pain. I'm going to look into Stem Cell ..regenerative procedures. I agree with you, that we treat the pain/inflammation and not the underlying causes. Thank you !! :)
Tramdol made me nauseous, itchy, I started to hallucinate, I vomited, I felt worse than ever. And it make me break out in acne. I will. Never take it again. Way too Many side effects
No shit about the suicidal thoughts. Was on it 2 months an had to get myself off it before I did something. When your taking it for the worst pain in your life your already in a bad place this Dosent help anything.
That's really interesting - I guess I would just assume it would affect a person's mood because of the way it works, but you're right - I don't think there's any research or mention about it being helpful for depression.
I had lower back spine ache and I took this med next morning I woke up I was dizzy and happy now should I stop it or can I keep taking it for few more times ?
hi Dr ron...I have a disc bulge at T5 /T6 and herniated discs at the lumbar region (not sure about location ),however I'm a ex methadone addict and find both gabapentin and pregabalin make me nervous. ...I'm this associated with my old addiction ( 2 months clean after reducing from 50 ml to nothing )..... l so can you recommend any herbal alternatives for nerve pain.....subscribed to your channel. ..keep up the good work
I have crazy leg pain and lower back pain been on it 6 year now 2 a day I can't seem to put on wait tho and can't sleep until I have one I'm not sure what point the pain is as it feels like it's all over
hii dr..my father is taking tramadol since from last tree year. now he have to take 5 to 8 tablet each day to wake up from bed . each tablet contain 100mg please help us.what should he do. because when he try to leave. there body become totally weak even he can not walk .please help me
Side Effects from Tramadol just not worth it for me ...1..very bad night sleep. 2 Itching Burning Skin with no rash description: ... It appears the skin is itching and burning for no apparent reason. This itching and burning on the skin sensation can occur anywhere on the body, such as the hands, face, feet, lips, and scalp, to name a few..... not quite sure but I put it down to stiffness first thing in the morning.. PS some of these reviews are only trying to sell tramadol not good idea ..and the list for not using it just goes on but in saying that what works for you...
+Tom Thomas I mean if you dont feel the problem its not a problem during that time so good, when there is a magic pill that doesnt eat your liver as fast as tramadol when you drink and magically permanently cures the problem let me know, nsaids kill
I have had my body thrashed and hit by a car going 40km/hr in 2011 then more injuries. I take 6 - 50mg Ultram tabs to relieve pain but not working so what do I do ? My lower back is the most pain I can handle. Explain what I should do next ? Ty doc. Yes I know I shouldn't take that much it could kill me but not me I know my body to well.
Tommy Thomas You may not have side effects now, but you likely will down the road if you keep taking that dosage every day. I do go over some alternatives in the video.
I am cutting back to 1 or 2 tabs. I was just experimenting. I use to take 4 T4's 4 to 5 times a day. I am out for 3 days. Not feeling well but I'm teaching myself to take less. Thank you for your input you 2 cheers.
there is nothing about taking celebrex.i have to take 200mg , twice a day , so this is day 5 with tramadol, i can't sleep will,if i take one celebrex it makes me jitter in bed, tramadol 50mg every 4 hours i take it, the pain only gets to be less , but the pain comes back every 2 hours ,i have double herniated dics with one dice that is cracked and a bone sliver in my nerve,i have severe arthritis in my neck and shoulders,,my question is how long before this tramadol does it take for a full afect for no pain all day,
Everyone is different so that isn't really something I can answer for you - that question would be better to discuss with your doctor who prescribed the medication.
If i have all that time i would do what you are recommending but you know we have jobs and priorities so pill is only thing some people can depend on even thou we all know its bad
