@@GothRailfan thomas isnt a kids show from the 1980 because it involved violence and death but because mattel bought thomas ttte is now a world full of rainbows and flowers
Your dialogue writing and your style of delivering them is just perfect! If the TVS had dialogue like this, I feel that it would be even more elevated.
I’m just saying, by the fact, Henry said that water isn’t saying the joke about in the Percy just got lucky makes me wonder if he legitimately is a little afraid of water and rain
percy: “hey thomas.” thomas: “oh hey perry- I mean percy.” percy: *looks at the danger sign* “what’s that sign?” thomas: “oh that? well percy it’s a danger sign meaning you must not pass it as it says on the front, if that wasn’t already obvious which clearly it wasn’t.” percy: “danger? I don’t see any danger thomas.” thomas: “well trust me percy ignoring signs of danger can only lead to trouble I tried that once and I fell down a mine, got suspended from my branch line because of it.” percy: “well I can’t se any mines here so I don’t see much of an issue.” thomas: “percy if you were to use your eyes you would know that those tracks end at the key side, if you go pass that your going to end up in the water ya idiot!” percy: “so? I’ve already told henry that water is nothing to an engine with determination.” thomas: “percy that was just a flood this the fricking ocean we’re talking about!” percy: “yeah what ever, just you watch I’ll show you and henry!” *puffs away* thomas: “oh why do I even bother?”
I don't know if this takes any inspiration from Solid jj or the like, but I really like this take on Thomas. The dialogue is funny enough on it's own, but the voice acting is just perfect. Do you do it all yourself, or are there other voices at play here?
Just like with Thomas, after Percy falls into the sea and get's tricked by Gordon and James, the big engines will start treating Percy like scum and look down on him constantly. Until Duck comes and puts a stop to that.
Something I just realized, this is gonna be part of the "Percy takes the Plunge" adaptation, isn't it? Oohoohoohoo, can't wait to see Percy get his comeuppance in it! And Henry's reaction to his predicament.
This part never made sense to me in the original episode. Percy is talking about how he made a promise to take Thomas’ passengers on a rainy day…despite the fact that it happened in Season 3 and he’s telling this story in Season 2!
Bill and Ben are owned by a company that gives contracts to the NWR the clay and rolling stock and the two engines are owned by the clay pits but they come down from the pits time to time to drop off clay at the harbor or lend bill and Ben to shunt in the yards or loan them to the harbor
