Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰 temps in New York dropped into low 40’s last night and got home from work and house is 61 with temp dropping again to low 40’s . No Heat. I watched your video and was reluctant to put my mouth on that hose so I got a large bubble tea straw and stuck it into the hose and blew several times until a heard bubbling. I then tapped the hoses since wasn’t confident to disconnect them and Praise the Lord! Heat! Thank you!

I cannot thank you enough. We had -29C last night and I woke up in the middle of the night to a weird noise comming from the basement. The furnance was of and trying to restart but stuck in the ignition cycle. I followed your video and was able to fix it after a few attemps. For what I see your video has helped a lot of people including me...Thanks a lot!

Thank you so much! This really came in handy during our Texas power outage! Power was out for 12 hrs and the condensation in the furnace froze. When the power came back on the heater was still out and with a 14 month old and an 8 month pregnant wife, the hubby was able to get the furnace going again to warm up the house using this video alone. We are eternally grateful!

Dude! I live in MI, it is 6 degrees F here and my heat went out. It got down to 47 degrees in the house and dropping 1 degree every 10 minutes. With the furnace blowing air colder than the best AC unit you can buy. So I found this video, did the hose blowout you suggested, and it fired right up? Funny thing is there was only a tiny bit of water in the bend of one of the hoses but I have found info since that confirms that is enough to do it. Finally, I have Trane XR95, so I'd suggest anyone with Trane models of this era to check this out first before trying anything else. Thanks for sharing what you learned!

Thanks so much for this video. Hit -20F yesterday and about 8" from end of my drain pipe was frozen. Got it cleaned out and furnace is working again! Also had a vacuum line come loose during the process, so make sure those vacuum hoses are all tight!

Dude you helped me and family out big time. I had the same problem. It turns out my blockage came from ice. We got 14" of snow a few days ago and its been in the teens since so the drain pipe outside of the house froze. I drilled into the middle of the pipe to break up the ice then taped hot hands packets to the outside of the pipe. After that the furnace started blowing hot air again. Like you I'm an electrician and have little knowledge on these units but I was able to follow your video and figure out my own problem. My family and I thank you!!! You are awesome!!

Definitely a help, brother. Furnace draft inducer was making a sucking pumping watery noise. pulled the black hose, blew it out with the compressor, and we're back in business. Your man card punched again. well done bro.

Dude, thanks for the video - had the exact same issue and it turned out the blower hose was clogged. Cleaned that up and now its working like a champ! Definitely saved me time and money!

I watched your video and decided to check the codes. My code was constant on and instead of waiting till tomorrow for the repairman to show up, I checked what the constant on error code meant and changed the blown fuse on the motherboard. Problem solved Thanks To you because you gave me the idea to check the codes. Thank You Very much

Thanks so much. It is 20 degrees and the drain pipe froze. Couldn't get a tech to come out until next week. Drained it, cleared the drain. Fixed!

Good Video I had the three lights code after the power flickered this morning. My lines were not clogged as I was able to blow in them with ease, but by tracking the clear line to that switch, I tapped lightly on it a couple of times, and she fired right up. Thanks for the video, it provided me the right direction to go in.

not a lot of preventive maintenance that you have to do on modern gas furnaces. make sure you know where that drain line goes before you dump bleach down it. im assuming it goes to a stand pipe and not outside. dont wanna bleach your lawn. they also make tabs you can put in the drain to keep it clear. good idea to put the tabs in your AC evaporator pan as those lines will clog too and look to be seperate from the furnace drain. replace your filter every month. modern furnaces use hot surface ignitors to ignite the main burners good to keep one on hand and easy to replace. if the variable speed motor ever goes get ready to spend some bills if you go through an hvac company.

We had wasps build a nest in the outside drain pipe, clogging it. Proper mesh outside is good preventative for this.

Thanks, yo! On mine, a mouse had chewed a little hole thru the clear drain line. Replaced and it fired right up.

I've got a code 2 on my XV 95 (2 red flashes), igniter glows hot but doesn't light up, wondering if it's flame sensor

If my house would stay at 60 degrees without heat I would never turn the furnace on, Texas has spoiled you:)

I have the same Trane. My condensation line that goes over to an out side wall and then out of the house freezes up if it get below 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The technician says all this extra condensation is normal for this heater. Does your heater put out a lot of condensation. My old heater never froze and didn't put out this much condensation. Granted it wasn't a high efficiency model. I'm about ready to junk this heater and get one with a way lower efficiency rating. What do you think. It obviously looks like you are in just as cold as place as I am.

The 96% furnaces produce condensation. What you're describing is incompetent installation, unfortunately. Easiest thing to do is go back to a 80% furnace like you had previously, or find a proper way to drain that where it won't freeze up.
