Quick and easy card using the hostess only stamp set "Tranquil Tulip." Lots of tips and tricks shared too :-) Purchase these supplies and more at www.brendakeenan.stampinup.net :-)
Brenda, boy have I missed your videos! So good to have one of the best instructors teach us to make this gorgeous card! I must say, that is one clever stamp set, whomever designed it. Thanks so much Brenda!
Thanks for taking the time to share your card designs. You have the gift of teaching. I especially appreciate all the tips you incorporate with your videos! Arlene
What a wonderful tutorial; filled with exactly the tips I needed. This stamp set is one of my faves and each time I've used it, I haven't been all that happy with my results. Now I know I needed to come to your channel first. Lol Thank you so much and your card is absolutely lovely. Love the wee bee.
So glad to see you back Brenda - you are right it's been way too long. You were one of the first demo's I started watching, you helped fuel my need for Stampin Up! Great Card and tutorial. Sending big smiles from across the pond.
Thank you Jenn! I underestimated how hard it would be to keep my stamping business after going back to work full time - still a struggle but I'm trying my best :-)
Thank you Elizabeth! Sometimes I have trouble lining up stamps that are "2 step stamping" but if switch which one I stamp first I have more success :-)
so glad to see you again. I love what you did with this stamp set......miss your videos. I hope all is well with you and you're family. I'll be back to see what you do next. Cathy
Thank you Debbie! I love creating the videos but the editing is the most painfully slow part :-( I try to "chunk" it down but also keep the "learning" parts - difficult to find the right balance :-)
That was wonderful Brenda ❤️ lovely to see you back making a video,I have really missed your tutorials, you taught me soo much😘 Brenda from Australia xx
Brenda, love this! You're such a good teacher. Lovely cards. I do wish Stampin' Up! would just sell these, instead of making us spend that kind of money. :-( Thank you so much for sharing. Thumbs up. Beth
Especially when making these videos! I'm already all over the place and sometimes just cannot make one more trip down the stairs to get something I forgot :-)
Thank you Marcelle :-) Another way to get the hostess only sets is to combine your orders with friends and take turns getting the benefits. For example: 3 people each order $50 so the total ordered is $150. Choose one person to be the hostess and that person gets $15 in hostess benefits (aka stamping rewards) and can use it towards the hostess only sets. Repeat 2 more times so each of the remaining people get a turn at being the hostess. Your demonstrator can place the orders for you and they are delivered to the hostess. You can also get a hostess code that 2 people can use to place their orders online and the demonstrator places the hostess' order along with her free items. Clear as mud? ;-) Let me know if you have any questions - I'm happy to help if you don't already have a demonstrator too.
May I make a suggestion regarding the bee's legs? I can't remember where I saw it, to give the credit, unfortunately. The suggestion was, rather than try and cut out those tiny little legs, stamp the bee onto the card itself, then stamp, colour and cut it out on the other bit of card, minus legs, and stick it on top of the stamped image. That will stop the frustration of the fiddly cutting, and save you from irritation. I hope that helps you, and anyone who finds cutting in general to be a pain in the arthritic hands.
