This is an interesting combination you wouldn’t expect. I’m kind of fascinated by folks who insist on existing in traditions and spaces that don’t want them.
@@sia9907 I can say it again. Some of the rabbis, and the school administration, were content associating with this person. You can label someone unwanted if you like but the fact is not everyone is hateful.
@@JohnSmith-mc2zz This individual asserts having a rabbi’s endorsement, but I’m skeptical that any orthodox rabbinic association currently supports this claim. While anyone can declare themselves a “Rabbi,” can you provide the name of an orthodox-recognized rabbi who would approve a transgender person as a teacher in a traditional school? It’s doubtful.
@@phemtoe yeah that’s kinda the point though? Transphobes say they’re oppressed but are super loud and not at all afraid of spreading their transphobia. Proving that they’re not at all oppressed
Judaism classifies men dressing as women to be an “ abomination “ and vice versa. Not being able to accept what you are is not mental health. I hate that people go through that. It’s got to be tough to experience dysphoria.
This person is not a woman. He is even saying that transgenderism is more excepted than homosexuality so he just transitioned so that he could do homosexual acts without be judged as much. Stop degrading women.
@AK-wr3nr yes because when you share a dorm room with someone who claims to be and they stare at your shower and also randomly gt hard during the day you're gonna say "I'm comfortable with this person"
I hope your rage passes. The. You can stop blaming others for not fitting your view of how things "should" be. It is an outmoded way of being. Passing away. And you mean "she".
"I don't want to be a spokeswoman - I want to be known for my research. I want to be known for my teaching." This is the burden of anyone who has been discriminated against and spoke out. Talia has accepted this burden so that someone like her in 10 or 20 or 50 years can just be known for their research or their teaching - or simply left alone. For that reason we in the Orthodox community are so fortunate to have Talia and Bradley in our midst.
@@AK-wr3nr So their daughter must have been born either by a surrogate or has been adopted. No way could she bear a child, as she was still male inside, even after she transitioned.
But that doesn't mean people have to accept what they think is wrong into their community they should be kind YES but they don't have to tell and educate others about " this/being/liking... is okay" Leave traditional people alone
Religious orgs are right to shun members and to force members to shun family. Rules is rules. There's no kindness in religion. Whoever told you that was lying.
i ma an orthodox man and this is BS from A-Z i am sorry you fell for this piece from the guardian, you guys over in the US are not aware enough about these prancksters called ''the guardian''
This is not truth. A male cannot become a female period. He can either choose to live in denial of his creation or put in the neccesary work of acceptance which in the end will bring true happiness. It's tough but it can be done. It's not worth trying to be who you cannot be.
Words, labels, beliefs, identities, they don't mean anything anymore. You feel like you want to be something? It doesn't matter what defines such an identity or group, just claim to be part of it and demand to be taken seriously, no matter your own traits, beliefs or context. There is no such thing as objectivity anymore. There is no such thing as structure, and truth itself is on the way out. Just make it up. I'm not sure if the way the world is going is somewhere we can come back from. I'm not sure if those pushing it the most are thinking about where they are pushing it. There's no guarantee that the world will withstand just anything.
Excellent comment, although I resepctfully disagree w/ your claim that "there is no objectivity anymore." There IS, and there always will be, irrespective of whether or not society even allows people to be calling it that. Objectivity is whatever stubborn reality prevales in the face of what's popular, or even socially permitted.
Dishonest title there, The Guarduan - a man, and not a woman is featured in this video. Let him dress as he wishes and go by whatever name he likes, but a woman, he is not. Womanhood is not a feeling; it's a material reality. A person either meets the requiste biological criteria, or they don't. Pretending that men do, when they very obviously don't, harms actual women. This is not acceptable, and the Left should not be peddling this misogynistic nonsense.
How is this trans woman specifically her, harming actual women? I disagree with some choices, opinions of trans people but I don't see how she specifically is harming women.
That kid might want to know/know about the woman who grew her and gave birth to her one day the mother doesn't get mentioned here Clearly the experiences/wishes of the missing mum and little girl aren't seen as equally important by the filmmakers
@@AK-wr3nr Thanks for your concern My parents are in their 80s and doing well,a very loving family. My daughter is 18 with 2 mums but she knows/sees her bio dad because knowing where you came from/who you look like/ who carried you in their body for 9 months matters to all children
@@sarahs1405 well they clearly didn’t teach you not to judge others. Do you also judge people who run away from abusive spouses with their kids because their kid doesn’t get to know both bio parents? There are way worse things in this world than not knowing a bio parent
So well done. As I often say, we have come miles but/and have many more to go. We are all and each one of us exactly as G-d made us and intended us to be. Talia and Bradley, this is absolutely beautiful as well as haunting in terms of "where we are not yet" in our knowledge, acceptance and understanding of the MOST FOUNDATIONAL elements of Jewish and Halachic being. Every human being is made in the image of G-d, as we learn and ANYONE who maligns or embarrasses or harms one of G-d's beloved and created beings is harming and hurting G-d. It is a privilege to know you and I wish all good things for you. And for the record, in terms of some of these comments, two points of clarification. One -- gender identity is NOT the same as sexuality identity/inclination. Two -- who we are and what we are is NOT the same as what we do... feel blessed if all of your identity points matches and feel thankful that medicine allows more of us to reach that point where they do. Kasher Noach.
Clickbait, where’s the woman? This clip only shows a male individual (aka, trans woman) who would dress up as a princess and now dresses up as a woman.
Yes, what "@@libafried5840" said! Also, if "gender is a [mere] social construct," then why do so many people, particularly People of Transgenderism, lose their heads over pronoun use?
I'm born a man. Biologically, i have testosterone. I have every biological trait of a male. I have no idea how it feels to be a woman. I haven't got the makeup of a woman, which puts in a lot of the order of how she thinks and feels. I don't understand the logic of a man "feeling" like a woman inside. I've heard the arguments of the modern doctrine of the universities, and I've yet to hear of one that makes any scientific or psychological sense. If i can change my gender, then i can change my race, i can change my species...it can go on and on. It has gone far enough. I'm old enough to have seen its progression move exponentially.
Thank you for this video! So informative and useful for people to know there is no ‘transgender agenda’ out there. People just want to live normal lives and be left alone.
Thank you for being vulnerable, Talia. I am so sorry that you experienced the expulsion from Magen David. They lost a great educator and I hope you can find a Jewish school that will hire you on to their staff.
@@ead-pv5lb Okay. So, how does this affect literally anyone, not "you personally"? This is a personal choice which literally has no interference with anything. Let it be.

She was my teacher, I liked her but she got fired for yelling at the principal. I know it wasn't about being trans as she only got "found out" after she got fired.
I don't know why this is even published. This has nothing to do with Judaism. It's a man who is unwell and needs medical help. He should speak to a Rabbi for help.
The mental and physical backflips religious people go through to be in a homosexual relationship while still being members of their religious community...
@BigRed35U Try learning the difference between anatomy and physiology, then think about this again. Don't be embarrassed. Like I said... your own pace is just fine.
It doesn't. Gross assumption. Being conservative means you fundamentally proffer self interest over social interest. To conserve ones status quo over the status of the social demographic. It is a self referencing tribe that protects its own first. Hence the greed and anger synonymous with its members. So, yes, most are conservative as most people are concerned with their own success and fear of the other. I am not.
@@l_gitthat isn't truth. Conservatism has always emphasized our responsibilities and limits within the society (the collective), while liberalism has always emphasized the individual and his rights disregarding social convention and social responsibility beyond "do not break your neighbor's nose". You are twisting things as cheap liberals always do.
"Although Orthodox Judaism does not condone homosexuality, Orthodox Judaism is more open to transgenderism, and so when I transitioned I started feeling less anxiety about who I am in the eyes of Jewish law." Isn't this more of a story of gay erasure than Orthodox Judaism opening up to make room for transgender individuals?
Nah. Please factor in that the subject misspoke (unintentionally, I'm pretty sure). She most likely meant to say that Orthodox Judaism takes some Bible verses to mean certain acts are forbidden, and a lot of Orthodox people FREAK OUT at gay people because they are inflamed by community leaders to do so. That's a PEOPLE thing, not a law thing. "Bad on them" (the people who can't accept Jews for who they are). "Bad" on the leaders for not promoting love of all Jews. Some people in separatist Orthodox communities are taught not to challenge the rabbis, not to think for themselves about stuff like this. I'm Orthodox and trans, and don't believe that the Orthodox world is more accepting to trans people. But whoever one is, it's probably best to just fit in the with rest of an Orthodox congregation. BE gay, don't HIDE, but don't advertise either. That'd be the same any Orthodox synagogue would ask of anyone. Be Jewish in synagogue. If you're a parent, be a parent; if you're a doctor be a doctor. :). If you have a partner who is also inclined to go to the synagogue with you, YOUR PARTNER SHOULD COME WITH YOU. If the synagogue makes a (bad) fuss, that's on the synagogue, not on Judaism (especially the more contemporary strains of Orthodoxy). Check out Eshel (www.eshelonline.org). Eshel wants to make things better in Orthodox communities for LGBT+ Orthodox Jews.
What do you mean, "Although Orthodox Judaism does not condone homosexuality, " "does not condone", my foot. Judaism outright condemns homosexuality to the point of promoting the murder of gay people. "If a man also lieth with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them hath committed an abomination: THEY SHALL SURELY BE PUT TO DEATH; their blood shall be upon them." If you believe that, and a whole load of other wickedness, you may be a Jew. If you do NOT believe that, then you are NOT a Jew. Ethnically, you may be an exotic form of Arab but it is faith that makes a person a Jew or not a Jew. Ethnicity has NOTHING to do with being a Jew. Ivanka Trump is the most famous Jewess in the World today but she has no more Arab blood than a Chinese woman living in Pingpozhen.

Well, maybe not, but Williamsburg (in Brooklyn borough in NYC) is probably the most well-known community of Ortho-Geaux in USA, if not also the biggest. So, by showing footage of Williamsburg, NY, these filmmakers are trying to reinforce the idea that this individual is trying to create that aura of cultural identity 😀
You can't change your sex, that is literally a scientific fact. And you are either female or male. That said, gender identity is something else. And of course those who suffer from gender dysphoria should be treated with empathy and respect, like everyone else.
