I worked in a boring dental office when this song was first played on the radio. My friend and I turned up the volume and it was blasting throughout the office. The dentist came out of his office and just stood and listened, his mouth hanging open. Patients that were on their way out the door stopped and said, “Oh, yea, this is that new Transiberian Orchestra song.” So epic. Definitely one song I look forward to each year and can’t hear enough. “Christmas Cannon” is amazing too. Merry Christmas ❤

Yeeeees I absolutely love Trans-Siberian Orchestra! Seeing them live was so incredible. An honor really at the talent of these people. It's a whole performance and a new take on the classic. Ugh I hope to see them again live some day!

TSO I have seen 6-7 times maybe but since am in Manitoba they never come to Canada anymore, boo hiss..and TSO names the song Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 but it’s really Carol Of The Bells as well!

I had the pleasure of hearing TSO live - years ago now, but they were absolutely stellar! The music, the pyrotechnics, the technique, the lighting, everything! And I even have my signed ticket still :) Glad to see you enjoy them, and hope you get the same vibe watching their other tracks.

My daughter and son in law just saw them! They play this song( daughter on keys and son in law on drums!) listen to their Christmas canon n d!!!! My favorite!!!! ❤️😍

TSO and PTX are the only Christmas music I will listen to all year long. I've seen both bands live twice, and this year I will see them both again - in the same week! So looking forward to both shows.

TSO live is definitely something that I wish everyone was able to experience. It’s just absolutely incredible and this video doesn’t even come close to doing it justice.

TSO is a U.S. band, so you can see them live quite easily. In fact they're in the middle of a Christmas tour right now as we speak. But the shows are most likely all sold out by now, so you may have to wait till next Christmas! They put on the most spectacular stage show in existence by an order of magnitude... Nightwish notwithstanding! I saw a recent photo of the backstage parking lot at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut just before this year's show: 22 tractor trailers of equipment and 9 tour buses for musicians and crew. They still hold the record for the largest assembled audience: At the New Year's Eve midnight "ball-drop" show held at the historic Brandenburg Gate in Germany, they performed before an assembled crowd of 1.1 million people.

They actually call this "Christmas Eve Sarajevo 12/24" as it is a mash up of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and Carol of the Bells"

Wow. That, oddly enough, put me STRONGLY in mind of the "conversation" in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. (If you've never seen it, you really should - it is an astonishing movie and, for at least a little while, completely changed the way we looked at alien beings.) Just checked my memory in imdb and whoa - that movie was made in 1977 (Same year as Star Wars, bizarrely). And 40 years later it was remastered and re-released. But my point was the ... conversation. It's in music and lights. And it blows your mind.

They are great and even have narration between songs for a more story like feel in certain albums. I highly suggest their christmas albums and if you want one non holiday related try beethovens last night. I got to go to one of their concerts this year and they even played a song supposedly found in the back of the tso record studio that had never been aired before live. So it was a true treat. The lighting, flames, smoke, and all the other effects cannot be completely taken in by a recording. You have to go to an actual concert. The crazy thing is they only started in 1999. They arent that old. I found the violinist goes crazy with movement even more so than the guitarists. It is a truly great musical group.

The actual song title is “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” not Carol of the Bells. The original recording is on the Savatage CD Dead Winter Dead.

This show is absolutely incredible its hard to describe. The feeling of actually being there is so different from watching even a live performance on video. This song rattles your bones. I've seen them several times and try to go back every year.

a TSO live show is something that everyone should experience!!!!....they use more than 20 18 wheelers to move their equipment; including several giant generators, as using all the amps, lasers, video screens, lighting, and every thing else, has blown power grids in the downtown areas of several major cities......

TSO puts on one of the greatest Christmas concerts in the world!! I go to their concerts every year they have them. (Added) Oh ya..if you're up close bring your sunglasses you will need them LOL.

My husband and I went to one of their concerts a couple years ago. I think I ended up with problems with one of my ears for a few days after. It was LOUD! Our experience wasn't exactly like that but it was LOUD!
