@@DraconDWandererThat must have been an experience and a half. The music is nothing short of spectacular, but the light show and effects are visual overload! It must've cost a fortune to get it to that level. We WILL try to see them again next year.
You seem set in your ways, but if i may The Kingston Trio have a christmas album, its older and not poppy like most of the new crap. Like a warm blanket. Just a suggestion.
I love a lot of music I like the big swing bands. I don't like to be with just one group. It's nice to have different genres never too much of one thing
I love TSO, Vintage old fashioned Johnny Mathis, Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton John. John Denver, And The Harry Simone Chorale classic album. All of that is my favorite Christmas music.
@@nina1522 that would be all "symphonic metal bands". you can find a list of them on Wikipedia. Nishwish is one those bands I love which does something similar to TSO.
Very thankful to TSO for putting these full albums up on RU-vid in their entirety. Been blasting this one along with Christmas Eve and Other Stories. Merry Christmas, everyone. :)
PS: My favorite TSO song is Ornament from Christmas Eve And Other Stories. What a banger of a solo from Mr Al Pitrelli. It gives me goosebumps EVERYTIME I blast that song to a billion.
I can't even begin to express how glad that I am to be able to listen to this on my phone wherever I am. Its such incredibly awesome music!! I love, love LOVE TSO!! 😍😍😍 MERRY CHRISTMASES ALL!!❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡💛💛💛💚💚💚💙💙💙💜💜💜
I have seen them every year since it's creation (except 2020) by the late Paul O'Neill (R.I.P.). In fact, he was the one that peaked my interest when I heard his interview on Cleveland's Classic Rock Station. It was a fantastic interview from a sincere and well spoken gentleman that knew the business and pursued a dream. I didn't know this man and yet, after his speech and his invite to the public (his sales pitch) to come see them, I just had to go buy some tickets and check this out. I did and I went and I was floored to the core! Every note so true and mastered to perfection by some of the best musicians in the world. And their coordinating light show - wow. That "wow" has gotten me every year! I am going on the 26th in Columbus, OH this year and it will be an uplifing experience for me to bring an end to yet another crappy year. Onward to see what 2022 will bring. Peace, prosperity, and good health be with all of you this holiday season. 💖And go see them live! ☃
The first time I heard TSO was in a Christian bookstore and song number 1 was playing. I was immediately hooked. Honestly, nearly every song brings a tear to my eyes.
The performance and range in, "What is Christmas" is absolutely exquisite. *chef's kiss* I've always loved it. It was a bit underwhelming when I saw it in concert but it was still really funny/good!
I'm in Owego living on Historic Lake Street. I can't imagine what it would be like if you showed up here. I'm in tears just thinking about that. I can feel the Essence of God in all of you. We are Talent on loan and we come with a expiration date. Just the way it is. Thank you for all that you do. 😎👍🎄
Trans-siberian this my favorite the lost Christmas eve iam a big fan of yours this is awesome my friends love you Trans-siberian orchestra ❤❤❤ keep rocking for ever 😊😊😊🎉
I LOVE, LOVE , LOVE, Christmas Carol's, Music, ALL OF IT. Traditional , Chicago's Christmas Albums, I added Celtic, and English Christmas Carol's , TSO, I really do LOVE, and Adore it ALL
Trans Siberian Orchestra and Savatage's music compliment each other very well. These guy's have been doing TSO since '96. They DON'T GET ENOUGH CREDIT for their contributions to the music industry. HIGHLY UNDERRATED. I can listen to Al Pitrelli and Chris Caffery's guitars ALL DAY. MY TWO FAVORITE musicians in music. Jeff Plate IS A BETTER DRUMMER THAN LARS ULRICH. Johnny Lee Middleton IS A BETTER BASS PLAYER THAN Jason Newsted. You heard it here folks! I applaud them for reaching young people with heavy Christmas metal. These guy's love to play music. Their enthusiasm is contagious. Beethoven's Last Night IS AN UTTER MASTERPIECE. That tour featured the best pyrotechnics I HAVE EVER SEEN. May their music live forever.
Matt Lucas you hit the nail on the head! Savatage had little to no radio play. As TSO you can hear them on rock stations AND more traditional stations that play Christmas music as well!
Metallica isn't that great. They never were. I listen to more European metal than west coast metal and the European metal is by far better. Better interplay between the musicians and generally better singers.
Why haven’t I thought to listen to TSO on my iPad during my workday?! This is so much more satisfying than only hearing them occasionally on my TSO Pandora channel! Just had this epiphany this morning! Makes sense, I binge-listen to my other music favorites on You Tube! Happy! 🎄🎄🎄
Christmas Morning 2020. Keeping our Christmas music the same as every other year is about the only tradition we kept alive. I hope everyone stays healthy, happy, and safe into the new year of unknowns!
@@SilentEcho9194 I just saw this and I did use this again for our Christmas morning. Thank you so much for the well wishes and for helping me keep a tradition going!
My absolute favorite Christmas album! I jam to it every year till at least the end of January...lol and bring it back out in July! I also love Christmas Eve and Other Stories, but this one was my first TSO album that I got for Christmas in 2014.
I was in a band called Avatar in the 80's. Chris and John Olivia (sp)were the guitar and drums, I was bass. Chris went on to form Sabotage. Chris was another young Van Halen. Chris and his wife and child were killed in Palm Harbor, Fla. John went on to be one of the first writers for TSO.
After many years of study and understanding the whole concept of who what and why played, designed the project nailed it! Yes Mr O Neil,Caffey,Olivia I get it so well and the talent is above amazing thank you for such a great contribution to the faces of your admirers of tour music. Thank You Warlock of Rock
Trans-Siberian orchestra my hobbies are painting 🖼 and listening to shortwave and ssb I have 5 shortwave receivers iam thinking about getting my ham license next year
I'm not into the new style rock and roll, but these guys and gals are fantastic. And the one guy sounds very much like Johnny Mathis who I have always liked. Bravo on every Christmas song and the little stories you tell in the new one I guess one of you wrote. Your CDs have become a Christmas tradition in my home. Thank you for the joy you have brought myself and my family.
Where can I hope to see them live??? Please help my friend and I as we believe in goodness and Not Anything but!! Let us rally towards the refusal that other people all around the world feel GRATEFUL, IMPORTANT, CONNECTED, AND NOT AFRAID!! PASS THIS ON!!!!!
It and the rest of the album are so so powerful in the full context with the narration. Highly recommend you find the version with the narration too. It is so tragic and so hopeful all at once. It's a very well told story and beautiful all the while.
I would love to see so many people in concert... but I have a problem with strobe lights. :< beautiful music though, this is my all time favorite Christmas music!!
