Picked up my 2024 on black friday last year. I really dig tbis bike. I just ordered a yoshimura slip on. Im not crazy about aftermarket stuff, but my right heel seems to always hit the stock muffler.
I can relate to the heel hitting the exhaust. I would love an aftermarket exhaust but a couple things prevent me from getting one. I may mention it in passing if an upcoming video.
I really am liking the powder coating. I wish I would have noticed 3d cycle parts had them already powder coated before I ordered my tail tidy etc from them. I added the wireless quadlock charger, it's surprisingly handy
I love the powder coat. The charger is something else I’m looking forward to adding as well. Phone’s are never charged when you need it. Thanks for the input!
Hey buddy I like the classy looking color coded racks and Barkbusters. A centre stand is essential and I recommend the SW Motech. PivotPegz footpegs are excellent. Also, before you get too reliant on your phone for navigation, consider a proper GPS navigator. The serious long distance tourers keep their phone in their jacket where they can get at it after a crash. I highly recommend the Garmin Zumo XT mounted on an SW Motech GPS bracket and wired to the bike. It sits above the standard display and even tells you the ambient temperature! Nice video. I have a 2024 TA and have added sw-motech bash plate, acerbis handguards, USB port, Radiator Guard, taller screen and thats it. I am going to do a significant suspension upgrade and have just about worked that out. Other than that I'm going to try and not go too crazy and keep the weight down a bit. Really enjoying the bike. Powder coating is a nice touch.

@@slo_moto Maybe it's a case of quality over quantity. For the forks I am fitting valves and fork springs rated .75. This will suit me better as I weigh about 200lbs. For the rear I am getting a spring rated 114N. I pick it up from the shop tomorrow, I'll let you know what I think about it. Total cost will be equivalent to about $1100 USD, so it's a budget improvement but a repeated one that has been done by a well known off-road touring company who run Honda Transalps here in Australia. You can go the whole hog and spend quite a few thousand if you really want to, but given that I didn't hate the suspension anyway, but I did want it to be a bit firmer, I feel that this is about as much as I'm willing to spend on it.
Bought my Transalp last November. So far I've added the SRC skidplate and guard kit, driving lights, Honda hand guards. Built my own tail rack out of aluminum plate with a Nelson Rigg tail bag. Also built pannier racks for it out of 3/8" round rod. Just mounted a new set of Dunlop Trail Max Mission tires. Have a 3200 miles on it and satisfied so far. Some things I really like and a few things I'm not thrilled about. Turning the traction control off is a pain in the ass for sure. I'm headed to Maggie Valley in a couple of weeks for a week of riding. Can't wait😃
Maggie Valley will be fun for sure, turning off traction control hasn't been a big deal for me and although nothing is perfect, this is the bike for my foreseeable future. I would like to see what you have done with your tail rack and pan racks. I took my bags off temporarily because they were rubbing my plastics and the back of my taillights. I haven't decided what my long-term fix will be. For now, its a backpack.

The airfilter access did bother me a bit too, I think it depends upon your riding, a friend of mine pulled his air filter out a few months ago after about 2 years and 17,000 klms (10,500 miles) and it was as clean as a whistle. He replaced it anyway as he'd already bought the new one, but he didn't need to. In the end I think this is a bit of an overblown issue, unless you're changing your airfilter by the side of the road its a pretty easy but not quick bit of maintenance.
