If I would have watched your video yesterday instead of today I could have saved myself 4 hours pulling the transfer case out of my 3500 to replace the chain. Good job on presentation.
This is why I record when I’m doing these repairs. I can never seem to find info on how to do them and the dealer doesn’t like sharing the knowledge. Hope it went well for you.
I apparently didn’t record that part but the tension was much better. After this I did do some u joint work since I had a couple going bad. I haven’t had a issue since
Supposedly there are some plastic inserts in the shifting forks and some seals that you can/ should replace. Oh yeah, make sure to get an OEM output shaft seal. I replaced two different aftermarket seals in and leaked pretty quickly.
