Remember, the players we are going for now are higher quality than we usually go for because this is what Brendan is (rightfully) pushing. This means we could be looking at very late signings. If we just wanted numbers in, they'd have been in the door before we left for America. We also have the nature of the transfer window food chain. If we're going for higher quality players then we'll have to play the waiting game til clubs in bigger markets have sorted their lot. Brendan seems relaxed still - and given he knows much more what's happening than we will ever know, that makes me fairly comfortable, even with a week to go. Great Friday podcast lads. Great show fellas. In total agreement with what you are saying. We are two or three quality additions away from pushing on . But also a couple of exits away from being in a bit of trouble..if transfers are prolonged and problematic. We have to move onto alternatives.
Out: Mikey, MOR, Lager, Yang. In: winger, LB, CB and a number 8 midfielder. Ideally 1 more striker in but 4 in will do. We probabky need 6 in so lets not discount deadline day deals.
Why should it take the manager having to take vailed digs at "the board" for things to get done! I think the squad is more likely 4 possibly 5 short of genuinly competing without anyone leaving. Perhaps i am just scared by history but i sense Lawells tight fisted grip all over this. We demand the highest values for players and yet we always seem to refuse to just pay the asking price. The big issues is if we have outstanding positions that arent delt with this window they get added to the list for the next,which will inevitably have other positions requiring upgrading/replacing. Faith is dwindling fast here!
It shouldn't be as hard for the manager as this window has been. We said, he's meeting his side of the bargain, but (so far) the board aren't meeting theirs. 5 days to go, lets see.

Celtic are not a football club anymore . I dont listen to rodgers he was at celtic 1st time of asking and he well knows how tight board work .. Desmond is his nemesis. Are no use ☝️ Dom Mackay he was the only board member with thoughts on team this just days before Ange arrived . Dom he who had the vision for the team but rest did not. Desmond and co their motto is business and making big millions only for themselves , not the team at all . Why Dom Mackay left as guys vision for team to make celtic a team to be feared in Europe again in time. Im one Celtic fan who said from the day Dom Mackay walked away , that celtic were going no where as board are overly greedy for them only And the fans them so easily taken in again and made a fool off as always , as club sell their best players all time . Yet they buy up season books renewed every close season . Stupid they are .
A managed lowering of expectations over the past decade. Unless we improve the squad massively Europe will be tough again. Just beating Rangers isn't enough anymore. This is the worst version of Rangers in 20 years. They shouldn't be how we measure ourselves.

Ah keep hearing the same phrase over n over , particularly during this summer window , “this Celtic side are only one or two players away from being ah truly great side “ and yet within moments of this type of statement ah fervourous slating of the Board ensues , yous can’t have it both ways , either you accept that the club have provided ah sensational Celtic side for 3 seasons now or you think the board huv been negligent, which is it , all these great players that fans are bemoaning losing they were bought by the same board that get in the neck on ah daily basis , it is getting fckn pathetic
Disagree Stephen. The side right now is playing really well, primarily due to the work of Brendan Rodgers. However, he can only truly rely on around 11-12 key players in my opinion. Beyond that the squad is seriously lacking in depth/quality. Thats where the board MUST step in to provide him with those quality additions
