Perez ( 17 goals ) , zaza ( 5 goals ) still perez is a bad transfer and zaza is a great addition... Wtf?! Watford and west ham bought almost the same amount of players but Watford had a bad transfer window because of that but west ham had a good one because they signed " a lot of quality players ". I don t really know where that quality is coming other than feghouli ( sorry for spelling it wrong ) who is known for having a bad character and maybe ayew and töre. But you have to look at the club that they are going to. Arsenal are trying to contend for the title, whereas West Ham are trying to qualify for the Europa League. On paper, Zaza is a good signing for West Ham, whereas Arsenal probably needed someone better than Perez. Look at all the other title contending teams - City have Aguero, Utd have Zlatan, Chelsea have Costa... These guys will all score 20+ goals in the PL this season. Will Perez? Probably not...

Your football knowledge is clearly not as good as you think it is. How can you place West Ham in fifth over teams like Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton. You mentioned nothing about Idrissa Gueye for Everton and he has been the stand out player for them already this season with his high energy and intensity. Also Ashley Williams, a leader, which Everton have lacked for years. Chelsea have added Kante, David Luiz, Alonso and Batshauyi. These are top quality players which will push for that league title and a lot better than West Ham's bang average players that they have brought in.
I think you need to specify how you've done this. Is it based on quality of the signings or how they improve the team?? If its based on quality Arsenal should be higher, mustafi, xhaka and perez much better than stokes, liverpools and west hams players that they brought in
I think it's also relative to the team, obviously a mid table team won't sign world class players but if they do really good business considering their size you'd rank them higher than arsenal

Couldn't care less that we lost Eder or Gomis. Ayew didn't want to be at the club, so no use keeping him. It's Williams that desperately needs/needed a like for like replacement. I hope Mawson can be that but realistically the current starters will play against Chelsea and probably going forward too. Would have liked another midfielder. I think our season could go one of two wildly different ways based on how Borja performs.

Gotta really disagree about the Saints coz Wanyama didn't even play well last season, Mane was inconsitent and it was the best decision to get rid of him and Pelle as well. Maybe that's what the club is going with now: the consistency and direction which Claude Puelle is gonna give him while last season felt like continuous problem solving patches brilliantly executed by Koeman nonetheless. Pelle can only perform when everyone else is, and wanyama was average when he turned up to play - he was suspended all the time. I understand every team needs a creative spark like Mané, but Boufal looks like that spark.

I would put Mkhitaryan top for me as he's not injury prone and was the best player in the Budesliga last year and has the creative quality that United have been lacking. However if Pep keeps Gundogan fit, which is very difficult to say the least, then City have got themselves a bargain.
I agree with his ranking. Simply because he ranks the players and then see's how effective they are gonna be for them and also based on their price tags. So with those combined in my opinion he did a superb job on the ranking of these teams
Trust me Spencer, the players that left City aren't losses. They're out on loan because City want them to be. I know I'm biased but I'd say we had the best transfer window because we got 7-8 players who fit into Guardiola's plans right now while shipping out all the players who didn't fit. Plus we added several very promising young players with a shot at the first team.

I've been really please with how Utd have operated in the transfer window. Not just the players they bought but how quickly they completed them. Pogba the world record transfer was completed with 3 weeks to go before the transfer deadline. Very impressive signings. Ibrahimovic already a global superstar who has won the league in every country he's played in aswell as Pogba the best all-round midfielder in the world. And with Jose Mourinho who has won the title more times than any other manager in the league Man Utd are favourites

Why is everyone harping on about Pogba? Honestly think he's not a player worth the £89m price tag. Especially since Pogba was released Man Utd years ago, how is that even considered good transfer business?
Right? Barcelona paid 20m euros more and got SIX PLAYERS. Digne and Umtiti at LB and CB both 22 and already playing great Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes in midfield both 22 as well, Cilessen as a GK who isn't that great but he is a decent backup and Paco Alcacer at striker 23 a player with experience and loads of potential as well. That's more than HALF a team for one really good player (I don't even rate him that highly but to each his own). If you are going to pay 89m quid you want 40+ goals a year or a player who completly dominates and controls the midfield. He's definitely not a Scholes or Zidane or a Xavi/Iniesta in their primes and he definitely isn't Messi or Ronaldo.

That's what Chelsea and Man City paid. 53m for 2 excellent midfielders and you still have 36m to spend, money with which they could of bought another CB or an amazing RB. United on first place, without any doubt. Awesome transfer window for them. I think the City signings are something like a gamble, some are very risky imo. Chelsea did a great job.
In terms of by how much improvement was done to the squad, undoubtedly in my mind the best window goes to West Ham. Ayew, Tore and Feghouli as well as Payet is unreal. Lanzini who did so well last year joins on a permanent deal. Zaza will score you goals.
