Flea markets are scarce in these parts. Seems like you have a good one nearby, and generally hit the motherlode. I know that feeling of a racing heart, trepidation….and then the price of $1 ?? Holy mackerel Mimsy ! That’s fantastic. I love your flea market ‘score’ stories ! These ornaments are fabulous !!
I love watching people do vintage crafts online. You must live in the Midwest, because the beautiful stuff that you people find in thrift stores in Goodwill’s and we don’t have flea markets. Here are absolutely amazing. They would never have stuff like that and thrift stores here in San Diego.
I am actually on the East coast in New Jersey. We are still lucky to have some good outdoor flea markets. It can be hit and miss but I keep going!! Thank you so much for watching and happy new year!
Of course, I love this and I do have a whole box of shiny brights from my husband’s uncle. I didn’t know what to do with them, but I’ve been saving them and saving them and now I know what to do. Thank you so much.
Oh Tami I am in love with these! 💝 I have collected Reindeer for years! 💝🦌🥰😊 So now I am going to start looking for some vintage ball ornaments & little deer so I can make me some of these! Just found your channel as I was looking for some way to upcycle a lot of the random Christmas bits and bobs I find while I estate sale and thrift and I am completely obsessed! You are so talented, thank you so much for sharing your skills and ideas. I picked up a box of amazing mercury glass ornaments this spring at an estate sale and now I am totally inspired to make some Christmas gifts as you suggested. Subscribed!
I love your work. I’ve a bunch of tiny little odds and ends that I loved, but I didn’t know what to do with them, but you have given me great ideas. Thank you!!
This was the first of your videos that I saw and I was hooked. You are so creative! I haven't made a single thing yet, but thanks to your influence, I see potential in things I would've previously overlooked or discarded. You're the reason I can't part with anything anymore... I broke a shelf of figurines and kept the heads and hands! :D
Omg, I had to laugh, how your heart was raving about the vintage glass garland. I thought I was the only one, that goes crazy over finding things like this. 😂
RU-vid recommended your channel to me (since I love vintage) and I am so happy they did. You are so creative! Thanks for sharing your ideas with us. Nancy from Northern California
I just found your channel! This I so inspiring! I think I am going to start combining creativity and vintage more on my channel. This is amazing and I can’t wait to watch more of your projects! 😍😍😍😍
I enjoyed this so much! I couldn't wait for Christmas in July so here I am looking at Christmas videos online lol. My mom is a crafter and I'm going to send this to her. I loved your murcury bead glass story at the thrift store with the grumpy old man. Haha a dollar! What a steal! I'm a new subscriber!
Just to let you know, the tinsel you are using in these ornaments is currently being sold at Walmart ! In case you need more ! I was there today Oct. 3, 2021
Better yet, put all the embellishments and glue on the ribbon and preserve an ornament from 1939-1941. One of the first American made by Corning Glass because of the looming war. Look for "Made in US OF A" on the cap.
I have so many shiny brite ornaments. Your project is beautiful. Thank you so much. I was going to try to paint them with glass paint and use glass glitter. Have you tried that before?
Omg they’re beautiful but I can’t do anything with my shiny brites. I’m too attached to them. They’re getting so rare, and some of them are so beautiful and expensive.
I hear you. I was lucky enough to find a lot of them at the flea markets over the years that are plain, scratched up, or losing paint. All of my really good ones go on the tree!!
Hi Debbie I think it was AC Moore craft store when it was still open. In the past I have seen them at Michaels & Hobby Lobby but you never know what they will have from year to year. Thanks for watching! Happy Crafting!
