A BBC Micro mod that I've never seen anyone do before. What's more is it's really cheap, pretty straight forward to do, and is just really cool (IMHO)
Feel free to roast me in the comments if you've seen this done, but I couldn't find it done anywhere else! Link to the Bluetooth module I used, see below.

I love Hunchback. My son is a more modern gamer (and very good to be fair), but Hunchback destroys him 😂

good idea to leave the wires long. but there is one thing you'll want to watch out for. highly unlikely, but possible EM interference/crosstalk on those unshielded wires. considering the low voltages of the various circuits, i doubt it'll happen, but please do watch for it until you can establish a history of smooth operation. now, time to install a tiny light pipe to display the active bluetooth module on top of the case. 😃

Hi John. That's a really good point. I hadn't even thought of that 😂 I remember you mentioned the light pipe with the Speccy I did. I did look into it but then just parked it like many things. I havnt forgotten it though...

After watching your video on the ZX Spectrum version of this, I spent the money on eBay and got one. Converted my speccy and now it works just fine. Thanks! Not bad for a couple of quid.

maybe your next mod should be playing a screechy mp3 while it's loading.

Interesting mod, I might have tempted to give it a try but I have a MMFS solution on my Beeb.

There isn't much practicality to the mod realistically with MMFS and Goteks around. I just find it fun to see it load tapes without the hassle that comes with using tapes. Plus if anyone is on a really tight budget, it makes a viable alternative I guess

Now you've permanently connected the PCB to the PSU, so you can't remove the PCB (very far) from the case. You would have been much better off picking up ground and +5 Volts over by the cassette port. Ground for power and audio in are the same, no need to think of them as 'different'. Pick up ground on pin 11 of IC 35 (LM324) and +5 Volts on pin 4 of the same chip.

Hi Brian. Thanks for the suggestion there. That's a good idea and sounds better than what I did 😄. I thought I would go for the spades as it was nice and easy 😂

Nice video Simon. I was wondering why not just mod a cable powered by USB? Maybe I misssd the point. Anyway enjoyed the video regardless. All the best. Barry

Hi Barry, thanks for commenting, I'm glad you liked it. For me, the main driver was I didn't want to have anything on show. I wanted it all hidden away in the case. There's probably better ways/places to connect it though. As you will probably have seen if you watch some of my other videos, is I get that excited about the ideas, I just jump in without necessary as much thought as I should perhaps give it 😂

I may have missed it but did not see it mention anywhere what the blue tooth module was that you used for this?

Given you a thumbs down for the video straight away for adding movie clips into your video. Most software is in UEF format? Don't think so, I've not actually seen any UEF software and I've got a crazy collection of software (many, many gigabytes of software for many machines) and don't ever recall seeing a single uef file for any of them. I actually had to Google it to see what the file extension was. Will finish watching the video later and edit the rest of my comment in, school run beckons!

Just got home and absolutely love this. I've got my Master pimped out and this is one more mod I can add just because. Saves the *TAPE bit being made redundant. What was the app you're using on your phone please?

Thanks Carsten. I'm glad you liked it. I like the convenience sometimes from loading from SD card or whatever, but I do enjoy that loading experience when I can
