@@andrewrichardson3135 I have a PC and a note 9 and i still enjoy this Note 9 feature, it's like a portable desktop for me or when I go visit my family, (who don't have any consoles or desktop) I can just connect my phone to their TV and watch movies and videos with them. It's just amazing to have.
If you have a bluetooth headset paired you can use DeX uninterrupted, and the phone app just opens up on the monitor. I found this out today while listening to music in my office while I was using DeX. If I find out more, I can update this comment.
Saki, I played the game Alto Odyssey in dex but used phone mirror. It made the game full screen and was beautiful. Show mirror mode and not desktop. OMG amazing. Please do a video and I think you'll get many clicks.
@@mollerbt I agree with you partially because no one expects a full blown PC's features in a mobile device. All that we expect from a smartphone phone is a swiss army knife like functionality for emergencies. Note9's Dex definitely excels in this area and will improve in the future as well. Thanks for your comments
Hey saki please show a trick to use applock on this device...like unlocking your whatsapp with your iris or fingerprint ...plz help broda..with love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
If your going to use dex with a keyboard and mouse then your better getting the first gen dock it’s cheaper for a start but you also get an Ethernet port which you don’t get with the later model, which is flat on the table like the phone is.this flat surface is ok but a mouse is much more preferable as you obviously don’t get the same precision as you do with a mouse, all in all dex is miles ahead of what any other company is offering at the moment.its only drawback for me is at the moment it won’t output in a higher resolution than hd at moment .forget about app optimisation they all work dex labs and dex max sort resizing out
I don't know why when I connect my phone to my computer it doesn't do all the things it's supposed to do. Does it has to do with the fact that I connected it with the charger it comes with to the computer? Do i have to buy a special one?
Yeah and the Noite 8 but you need a dock....there's one that has ports so you can connect mouse and keyboard with usb cables and your phone gets charged at the same time.
Hi Saki, what is that cable that you're using? Is that the original Samsung Dex cable (link where to buy)? Because I use the Woffallo adapter but that one does not go into Dex without a power source, even with my Note 9.
Some web pages dont work with my moble devise for example the inpit fields on college application website dont work, would dex be compatible with similar web pages?
With video game stranded being web future do you see the note and the Dex being a viable gaming alternative especially with the deck station which has a ethernet port
you can also use the DeX pad or station that has a cooling fan built in as well as USB ports and a usb c port for a power supply to keep your phone charged. if you dont have your note 9 charging it will limit your apps you can open at once to 8.
Great video. But I wish we could connect to a PC or laptop via remote. Because when I am carrying a laptop I might as well work at length on it and then transfer the files to the phone. The Dex support is very useful for presentations though
Great video I think this feature is very cool and innovative. I would like to see how office apps like Microsoft office works with a mouse and keyboard on DeX. Is it the same or similar experience to a pc or laptop?
Reply I just bought my note9 but the dek cable isn't included in the accessory also find it difficult connecting the phone to my pc. What is your advice
I have a monitor with USB-C port (LG 29UM69G) and it supports Dex mode even through that port. No need to buy HDMI to Type C for such monitors. Make sure you mention so in future videos about Dex.
Personally I have found many instances when this was helpful. For instance, my laptop is my only computer, so if I loan out my laptop for an hour or two, I'm able to continue working through Dex. Also a few times when I had my laptop charger in another room charging a different device, I have pulled out my note9 and used Dex to work. To be honest there have probably been seven or eight times when Dex has rescued me since I've gotten my note9. I can see others also using this if they only have a Windows device and it's updating for about a half hour, or their primary laptop is being sent out for repairs.
I've seen several videos on how to use the note 9 as a "full blown" PC. I have yet to see anyone use a physical keyboard and mouse. Everyone says you can . But let's see it. Big talk.
It's not "big talk", it's just a standard feature via bluetooth keyboard and mouse. It was also available on the older devices: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EBTjgUliEws.html
@@sakitech I am not interested in a Device with a DEX station. Note 8 videos dont appear when i search for Note 9 videos. Nor should they. This is about the 10th video that has "full PC with Dex" in the misleading title. I have never seen a full blown PC without a keyboard or a mouse.
Ronald Hambrecht but, when traveling, where is the monitor located? Are you bringing it w you? No. Wouldn’t it just be easier then to just bring a laptop vs a monitor?
@@dnghn.design As you can see by his reply, he is being condescending with that question and you need to read for comprehension because I knew what he was saying.
@@cryptojihadi265 Of course not. Why would they hurt their own laptop business? DEX is just an alternative to carrying a laptop. But it's a very cool one that Apple doesn't have. And charges more.
