Fortunately though, recent scholarship has begun to elucidate the extent of the indebtedness of Western history to other civilizations, which began in Mesopotamia, in the sixth century BC. The development which led to the emergence of philosophy among the Greeks, then influenced the formation of Christianity, and was appropriated and elaborated upon by the Arabs during the Middle Ages. Ultimately, being introduced to Europe during the Crusades, it eventually spawned the Renaissance and the Enlightenment.

I think there is a misunderstanding about Putin’s intentions and methodologies in Ukraine. Some things need to be considered for better understanding imo. 1. From the first day of the war, diplomatic negotiations were set up only for recognition of the Donbass and Crimea. 2. Even by March 14-15th, the proposals were the same in the peace negotiations in Turkey; and Zelensky initially agreed to them until Boris Johnson flew to Kiev to tell Zelensky to make no territorial concessions. I would conclude from this that, Putin’s intentions were only to bring recognition of the 2 Donbass republics and Crimea BUT, with hopes that the rest of Ukraine through, the legitimacy of Zelensky, would be responsible for reformation of Ukraine that would not be hostile to Russia/Moscow. In essence, this goal was to develop a Ukraine that would be more like Belarus but, with more autonomy since, Russia has always accepted Ukraine joining the EU as long as it did not join NATO. Strategically however, the West has now forced Putin to take on the burden of reformation by conquest, primarily, in the South and east of Ukraine.

I think the Magian component in Byzantium can be examined on the Balkans today You'd be surprised how much in common do modern nations on the Balkans have with regards to Turkey and the rest of the Middle East. There was staunch, even chauvinistic opposition to the Turks and Islam from the 15th down to the 19th century, but at the same time a lot of elements permeate all layers of society. In all Orthodox countries the Church is an element of the state, not above it. The formation of local Churches and Patriarchs came only after the creation of respective states as something contingent. Many Patriarchs declared that they're in line with the ruling regime, despite those regimes being democratic and despite the state committing to progressive politics in many cases, despite Orthodox Churches being strictly conservative institutions. Therefore, the Balkans have a Caliph ruling each individual country. The way how common people think is pretty Magian as well, which would include superstitions, commerce, music, the family unit and ontological thinking. In markets throughout Greece and Turkey you'll find the same kind of trinkets and in nearly all of the Balkans you'll still find bazaars and bartering, even (or rather especially) in the age of the internet. At both ends of the Bosphorus and Dardanelles, you can encounter the same kind of phrases and way of expression, but in different languages. Especially the religious kind, such as "God willing". Speaking of language, the Greek of Medieval Byzantines and Ancient Greek (and its dialects) are different languages so much so that Ancient Greek is mainly unintelligble to modern Greeks, even though it's a compulsory subject as I've heard. The Greeks during Socrates and the Greeks today are different beings in their entirety on so many levels. In fact, we're talking about Greeks but they thought of themselves as "Romanoi" or Eastern Romans, as a (post-)cosmopolitan society. The Slavs and other peoples of the Balkans are influenced by Byzantines and Turks so they exhibit the same kind of behaviors. The conflict and cultural divide between them is the same as between, say, Germany and France, or even Germany and Austria. Similarly, we have the same with Japan, Korea and China on the Far East. It's also of note that in the Balkans the music has an Oriental zing to it all across. There are many people who are islamophobes and far right politicians but who adore this kind of music oftentimes performed by muslim Gypsies or Bosnians themselves. So whether the Balkans will become divided between the Orient and Occident or will get onto this new bandwagon of Russia is yet to be seen, but as of now the Balkans (and to a lesser extent Russia itself) is a pretty Oriental society. Oh, and google "Bulgaria Squat Toilets"

I agree with Spengler that Byzantium is magian because their liturgy differs so much from Western Catholicism. It is more repetitive and it "spirals" similar to a dervish dance, whereas the Catholic mass is so linear.

how could the new russian military cathedral be the Russians finding themselves if its still very Byzantine or Magian?

I think they were talking about spring confidence. Not a sincretic culture trying to please another culture, but a burst out of proud and sacred history. But i agree with you. I could be wrong, however It still seems like pre-culture to me. Not their springtime already.

The Ostrogoths tried to keep Roman civilisation going on the peninsula in the 6th Century. Theodoric was an effective administrator who oversaw public works projects to rebuild and restore monuments and maintain the infrastructure. Oddly, it may have been the Roman emperor, Justinian's "re- taking" of the peninsula that delivered the coup de grace, as the sieges inflicted damage that was never repaired.

And God will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, God is Powerful and Exalted in Might. Note: Why did Allah protected Churches and Synagogues if they worship false Allah ? ( Why Are There So Many Different Religions In The World ? ) Quran 5 48 ''...... Everyone does. Including serial killers, except that such violent souls have to be put through special processes of regeneration and soul reconstruction before they can enter the higher realms. Either that or they can simply be atomized and sent back to the Source as unredeemable.
