Transformations - Rotate 90 Degrees Around The Origin 

This unlocked the real door into understanding rotation thank you so much; I was having so much turmoil with the rules but now I know why and what has to be done my life is clear.

I had a whole crying breakdown earlier because I just couldn’t get rotations. I get it now thanks to this video. Thank you soooo much!

4:24 actually i have a more simple way of rotating clockwise and counterclockwise 90 degrees about the origin because some students can not imagine how will they rotate so this is a simple way: for 90 degrees clockwise rotation about the origin we can swap x and y and then change the sign of y and for counter clockwise we will also change places of x and y but then change the sign of x

Time slot 6-16 to the end is the main statement. Nice to see the points rotates 90 degrees about the origin and the co ordinate are interchanging and those are taking sign according to the new quadrant those r shifted.

i have a question 🙋‍♀️ So it doesn’t matter what sign the original points are you must still convert them to both a positive number? because all my numbers are negative and when i did it my solution did not match any of my answer choice so something is obviously not right my original coordinates of my quadrilateral was G-(-5,-1) H-(-3,-2) J-(-3,-5) and K-(-5,-4) and so when u said to switch the so i put the “ x’s “where the “ y’s “ are to and the “ y’s “ where the “ x’s “ go and it was wrong so i would really appreciate your help
