good video my only complaint is this.. when you say IN DETAIL i expect you to give detail, Not to whip out an App. Honestly, i clicked on this BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE DETAIL AND CALCULATIONS turns out there was no calculations
The only measurable parameters of an unknown core are its physical dimensions - the video shows a core being measured with caliper. How can then a selection be made from the list of commercially available cores ? Does one merely look for a core in the list which closely matches in dimensions of the core in hand?
Thanks for the lesson. Used to the older iron core transformers, but want to learn more about HF pulse tx's too. Any advice on choosing any HF tx's for a pure sine wave inverter? Want as much power as possible, from 500 watts to a few kw's, but want an output that can deal with 'power factor,' especially say a fridge or motor switching on. Maybe use HF tx's in parallel to double the current output. So far, have got it's around 36 khz for square wave, or 96 khz for a spwm pure sign wave. I've got one of these tx's, plus lots of others from power supply boards. Still not sure how dc-dc power boosters work with pwm. Learning how to program with Arduino, but zzzz process.. lol.
Hi, I bought the application to calculate the transformer and I do not understand what this part refers to: What does the application mean by that? diameter of the primary wire 1.44mm This also means the diameter of the cable diameter of the primary wire 0.4*13mm
Maybe a stupid question, but when the app says second winding needs 17 + 17, and 6x 1mm... Does this mean that I first wind 17 x 6 wires of 1mm,put isolation and repeat the process? Thanks in advance!
Hi. When do you know if a power supply needs to be rewinded or some other components like the capacitor or resistor or transistor, need to be replaced instead? I have a Famicom power supply, it's a video game console. When I measure it at the end of the power supply jack (where it plugs to the unit), the measurement is less than 0.5v only. The specifications of the power supply is: MODEL HVC-002 MITSUOKA D.S AC100V 50/60Hz 18VA DC10V 850mA Our mains/outlet is 220v (s.e. asia). It'd be nice to restore it to its original. I've already opened it (it's got the rarest screw I've seen, tough to unscrew) it. When I test the voltage (using a step down transformer), what comes out of the jack (the end you plug into the Famicom) is less than 0.5v Thank you. God bless, Proverbs 31
Question: on an MOT Transformer modifying the Secondary Winding using 15 gauge insulated wire (1.5 sq/mm) with 27 winds (26.xV AC output) will produce how much ~Ampere? Thanks for any in formation.
Does anyone know where could we get (buy) a custom pulse transformer from? For example we need a pulse transformer 150:14 (pri:sec) with AWG 38 (pri) and AWG 26 (sec)
@Kasyan TV can you give the exact computation of turns and gauge of wires...i want to assemble transformer the primary is 220volts and secondary is 220 volts but 50mA...please...thanks in advance...
PirateKitty In particular, I'm trying to find how much inductance on the primary side of a transformer is required for it to work on standard mains power. Too much or too little and the transformer won't work. Or so I figure. Rules of thumb are well and good, but I'd like to find a good source. Any good resources for transformer design?
Hi, I am using EE 65/32/27 F48 MMG core, so could you please tell me the maximum power that the core can handle and what would be the optimum frequency to get peak power output. I want to build it for 24 volt at the primary and 380-400 volt at the secondary. Please help me I am trying to get information regarding this but I am really not getting it so could you help me please!
Yesterday I have download this software from play store, when I input the parameters that shows secondary side "0" Turns but giving wire diameter. Am confused that switching side winding is primary or secondary? Pls clarify
I need a transformer with primary 24-0-24 and secondary 35-0-35 in 6 amp , please give winding details, how to calculate wire size, core size and number of turns
Why display 2 parameters of wire.what is correct parameters????? Ex:- 1) diameter of the secondary wire - 0.38mm 2) diameter of the secondary wire - 0.4 ×1mm Please tell me what is a correctly 1or 2?
Due to all your helpful videos in you channel, your so good explanations (I'm a DIYer with no formal technical education) I'm very interested in SMPS, so I've suscribed and bought the app. Thank you!
I have paid on google play store on this app INR140, money has deducted but there is no option for download the app. Is this app purchasing a fraud or something?
Soaking the transformer to be reused in acetone for about an hour or two makes it 110% easier to disassemble and it will take away all the old glue and in no time it’s ready to be reused 😎
