Not really familiar with Combiners or Transformers in general I believe? The vehicles generally don't scale correctly with each other, else the bots will have disproportionate appendages
The one thing that always bugged me about Transformers is scale size between them. The moto shouldn't be the same size as the car, the helicopter should be near the fire engine.... Same goes with Broadside, he transforms into an aircraft carrier and a jet 😅
@@pizzaruby5140 this period of time was very wild for the brand where scale was all over the place, size classes to promote consistent scale were not introduced until 1995
@Some Random Guy I have a collectors book for the whole brand, it is said the protectobots are the easiest of the original combiner teams to obtain for collectors on a budget
@@gohanthecinderace5034 Yes, I love Devastator more, but I also like the Protectobots. However, there are many who believe Predaking was the most strongest combiner. I was more of Devastator fan than Predaking though.
@@EUSL84 I broke the tab that holds Siege Springer's legs together in car mode. Fucking instructions don't even hint that that tab has to be *unhooked* rather than pulled apart. Good thing the tabs from his backpack hold the car together just fine without it, but that was annoying. Hell, that figure is just annoying to transform in general even though it's a great Transformer.
Damn is Defensor a cool idea for an autobot combiner team Legacy collection should come out with, but holy sh*t does Defensor confuses and infuriates me!!! Blades as the helicopter as an arm and Streetwise the Police car as a leg make perfect sense......BUT when you look at First Aid the ambulance as a f*cking arm and Groove the motorcycle as a f*cking leg, it doesn't make ANY sense. It can be argued that Blastoff the space shuttle (largest vehicle out of the Combaticons) should be a leg, but when you consider the ground vehicles as legs and the flying vehicles as the arms, THAT makes sense. Gawd I hate Defensor's build.
You shear off a tab at 14:10 Though it's not exactly your fault I guess. This figure looks nightmarish to transform and combine, and that tab clearly had tolerance issues.
Man, what's wrong with you??!!. I don't know if the figure was terribly designed or wether you have a problem with your hands, but it was painful see you transform the figure, you made me anxious as hell
B4 u make transforming video, practice transforming it first, then do the recording... honestly i can see u r struggling n u broke 1 part.... anyway, i just suggest, cos knowing korean, they r too proud to taking advice....
That's okay. YOU do the next one, since you seem to think it's such an easy thing to do... Seriously, go ahead and get on it. We'll wait. It's so funny how some of you guys are SO condescending towards people who ENJOY this activity, AND the hobby, that actually take the time, go through all the hassle, to produce these videos for everyone who's ALSO interested in seeing figures that MAYBE they DON'T have or CAN'T get for whatever reason... And doing it for free (because they DON'T really make much money from RU-vid, contrary to what you may think!)... But THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH for you guys... Nope! You gotta come in talking $#!t and belittling people on their channel... I repeat, THEIR CHANNEL... As if YOU are somehow THEIR superior in some way. You're NOT, just so you know. I SURE don't see ANY of you arrogant douches producing better content... OR ANY content, yet you feel empowered/entitled to tell them how to do what they do...?!! Nah. You don't like it, don't watch it. Pretty simple. I'm pretty sure, as arrogant as you guys are, if YOU were putting out similar content, and you somehow f**ked up in YOUR video, or didn't do something the way HE thought you should, and came at YOU with the same disrespect you've shown him here... You'd ALL. LOSE. YOUR. $#!T... And then go off on him for daring to criticize YOUR work...!!! I know this is what would happen, because you "elitist collectors" are ALL the same. You can dish it out, but you DO NOT LIKE getting it served back at you. To his credit, he's ignored you, which already makes him a better person than you. SO... How's the video coming along? We're waiting for YOUR superior quality video, don't disappoint everyone...! 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Maybe he could have tried doing it one time before he made video. Really seems this video could have been quicker if he had a clue as to what he was doing.
@@jguy6781 he made the video with minor edits plus he got those cute baby hands. Must be a struggle for him to figure out how to combine. Those figures nowadays take a lot of time unlike in the 80s.
This was the the most painful transformation video I have ever watched. I know you can do better than this, so make sure you actually learn the transformation sequence before making an actual vid.
Next time, you can do it. (Some of these figures are frustrating as hell no matter HOW MANY times you transform them. Understand that and don't be so condescending.)
Yeah I was scared too when I saw him having a hard time there... unfortunately it broke. Nice video though... brings back memories when I had the 80's catalog as a kid and wished every Christmas that I get a combiner as a present. I told my grandfather I wanted a big robot then he gave me a #55 Scorponok lol
thought I was the only one that noticed that lol. Now it's permanent Guardia Defensor mode. It also shocked me when he finally separated that part. I thought something was wrong and I totally looked for that broken lock.
Hi! Something I've always noticed in your videos, which bugs me everytime, is the lack of choreography in the transformation/combination process. You always struggle during the process and it's kinda tedious to watch. Might I suggest rehearsing before recording? Seriously, no one needs to see you struggling with a toy...
Dude...they are Transformers...their size and relative scale can be transformed accordingly...if you cannot accept this basic premise, there's no point to discuss anything in this imaginary universe...:P
These are some of the most satisfying videos EVER! Gotta admit I've never seen him struggle before, but this one was a challenge. Hotspot is huge all by himself let alone combining him with 4 other vehicles! Amazing Defensor transformation!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Can you imagine if it took as long for Defensor to transform and combine as it takes for a person to transform and combine these toys? And having to assume the poses we've seen in this video? Hotspot lying on the ground trying to put on his Grooves foot? *HOTSPOT:* "%#*!% pegs, can't see to line 'em up with the holes!"
One thing that always bugged me about Defensor was that Groove, whose alt mode is a freaking motorcycle, formed one of his legs! I REALLY wished that the animators back in the G1 days would've animated Groove as one of Defensor's arms. The Defensor toy was a Scramble City style combiner, so it didn't matter what went where. So why animate the motorcycle as one of the legs? It just didn't make sense! It bothered me as an 8 year old, and it bothers me now! Only now I'm in my mid 40's!
I like how they worked around Groove being the leg in this figure. Considering that these later combiners in the show were horribly animated and didn’t do so well in toy form back then. Same thing with much better versions of the Stunticons and so on. And maybe Groove should be an arm in a more modern version of a series instead since motorcycles are still much smaller than any rescue vehicle out there.
In more recent storyline form in the Alligned Continuity, Groove has actually been killed off. He was deactivated in battle by the Decepticon Flamewar, as she tried to continue her personal vendetta against the Technobot Afterburner. She tried to destroy Afterburner's transformation cog ensuring that the Technobots could never again form Computron but instead Groove saved Afterburner's life at his own expense. Groove has now been replaced by a new Protectobot, Rook, who transforms into an armoured car, and now forms Defensor's right leg.
