Right? This and Clearing the Road are my favorite missions in both campaigns. They both play the main theme at the right moment for the stories. With Autobots, you've rescued Bumblebee, got the Allspark, and helped him clear the road to get back with the rest of the Autobots. Optimus saw the Autobots more than soldiers. They were his friends, and he knew he would never leave a bot behind. He returns the favor for his close friend, which cues the awesome Autobots main theme. Then there's Decepticons. After Starscream destroyed Bumblebee and got the Allspark, the Decepticons were after him to drop it now that Megatron returned. Especially Barricade, his disdain towards Starscream was above all the rest because he was unfit to be a leader. He knew how much a Decepticon is worth under Megatron's leadership. Refusing to step down and declare treason, It made Starscream a one-con team to take down others who opposed his leadership. Both Starscream & Barricade had a goal, and that cues the badass Decepticons' main theme.
I do it because that's the only console I have. But it's kind of difficult to find certain games :/ For instance, I've seen quite a lot the deceptions version, but haven't yet found the autobots
Lets be real, the true highlight of this game is how well Starscream is handled. The entire game, he's plotting behind your back. He bides his time and waits for the autobots to be wiped out. Then what does he do? He betrays the Decepticons, murders your friends, and seizes the allspark for himself, revealing Starscream was secretly the true main antagonist. I never saw him as main villain material, but my god the writers made him the most despicable transformers villain ever. Imo DS Starscream is one of my favorite video game villains of all time. Just how well his character is handled with clear homages to his original G1 personality is all executed perfectly. I really hope the writers of this game get to work on more transformers media. They absolutely deserve it
He got shot in the crotch and died in the movie. I get it was his spark but yes he can. I feel like fans also forget how powerful Starscream is, he’s not a pushover, if he wasn’t so blinded by being in the moment then he could kill Megatron if he stuck to what he should’ve been doing
@@q.h.s5051 I have a strong belief Blackout was just poorly written, this was not the first time Starscream made him look like a joke. In Ghosts of Yesterday he defied Starscream during Megatron's absence but he ended up badly damaged. In this game, considering Barricade put more of a fight and he's more of a scout, Blackout in this game simply died fast because of terrible plot writing, again. And once again, in the console version of Transformers: The Game, he was defeated by Jazz despite the fact Starscream ALSO helped in the battle. Much to put Starscream to shame as well. In the Decepticon version of Transformers: The Game for the consoles, Blackout was able to take on an army of Autobots and Ironhide, who was a really tough Autobot, single-handely. Some toy bios from Blackout like the Fast Action Battlers figure explained he could even defeat Optimus Prime himself, which could give a fair theory that if the humans didn't interfere in the Mission City battle to take out Blackout, he and Megatron could've defeated Prime quite easily. Starscream was simply too powerful in the Decepticons version of the DS game only because he secretly was the main antagonist or because he was "powered up" by the AllSpark (Plot Armor in either cases). The Tyran cluster is full of plotholes.
I’d be on starscreams side. Megatron disposes of you once you get damaged. Starscream in the past is shown to be full of himself but he still watches his brothers backs
Agreed, he makes valid points in his argument with Barricade. -Ruled for countless millennia and the empire's still kicking -Obtained the Allspark, something Megatron never accomplished and even when he did he just took it from Starscream -Actually gives Barricade a chance to side with him
@@supernova6585 Not to mention that like Create-a-Con and a couple other Cons in the spin-offs have pointed out, Megatron didn't hesitate to abandon the Cons in pursuit of the Allspark.
I'd still take Megatron's side on this one, as I would have far more respect for him as a warrior, a fighter. Starscream is the kinda con to demand respect without actually earning it.
"HE BREAK'S LEFT, HE BREAKS RIGHT WILL HE MAKE IT TO THE END ZONE!?" "STOP YOUR BABBLING AND GIVE ME THE ALLSPARK" dude the amount of times I heard these words when I was growing up 😂😂 The left bumper on my DS was broke so I spent hours upon hours doing it, hours led to days and days led into months trying to do that mission (I was kid so please don't roast me lol)
I literally couldnt chase bumblebee cuz he was so fast. I accidentally found a glitch where you go backwards right as the chase begins. The chase ends lol
I’m genuinely so proud of these comments. Theres a lot of serious thought put into discussing this kids game on some random video of one specific Boss Fight.
They had Barricade the boss in this part of the Transformers The Game Decepticons DS after star from defeats Bumblebee and then he gets a defeat Barricade rather than Ratchet.
Its actually my favorite mission in the the decepticon version I wish they added a bumblebee vs starscream fight in the autobot version cause starscream just vanished after loosing to ironhide we could have had him try to fight bee for the allspark then after we could see megatron appeared and take it
if you use Starscream’s strafe in his jet form, he actually goes faster than when you’re boosting. you go way faster than bumblebee too, so ‘chasing’ him becomes more like casually following him to the checkpoint.
I really wish in this mission that starts from chasing Bumblebee and defeat Bumblebee and get the allspark from Bumblebee and then I really wish as well with Starscream wouldn't not be defeating Barricade as well as I really wish that Starscream can defeat Ratchet in order to follow up more the first live-action Transformers movie as well as Starscream being loyal to Megatron in this game because he wouldn't kill Barricade he would just killed Ratchet the Autobot medic.
I really wish Transformers the Decepticons DS the Decepticon version that Starscream wouldn't have to kill barricade Starscream would have to be loyalty to Megatron to be more like the first live-action movie that Starscream never betrayed him after all in the first movie.
Imagine getting Decimated by an Ally and then that Same Ally Comes Back and you say, "Why're You Doing Back Here again?! Oh Right, you're the Imposter Among us".
