opening the comment section under any es video just to every single time see miserable people dogwalk the show is always so annoying, you don't know real joy, your values hold no real weight and you will not survive the winter
Agree. Not making him the main villain after Megatron defected to the Autobot side was a very bad decision. They could have took a page put og IDW's books, and make Shockwave the monster he was in that comic book series. T_T
Despite me not liking the series, I didn't mind at all this portrayal of Shockwave. The design is really cool, definitely G1 but also reminds me of the Fall of Cybertron incarnation. And the handcannon isn't just a generic shooter, but can also function as a scanner and a harpoon. If properly adapted into a Voyager class figure it would add so much playability! And I absolutely adore the alt mode, reminds me a lot for the Tripods from War of the Worlds. It'd be pretty neat to see a toy for this Shockwave with an accurate alt-mode, I mean how would they design 4 wheeled legs out of the 2 in robot mode? And where would those two spheres with antennas come from, maybe stored into the chest and torso? As for how this Shockwave is written, I don't hate it. He's still a scientist at heart but it's implied here he had a good firendship with Megatron and a real attachment to the Decepticon cause. I don't mind seeing a little emotion in him once in a while, and he seems to be the least goofy chatacter in the show.
I honestly really like Shockwave in this show, plus how he managed to utterly mop the floor with Megatron and looked like an absolute badass while doing so.
this is honestly not how shockwave would act, shockwave has always shown signs of not caring about the decepticons, and its only true master is the logic,if megatron took the allspark, shockwave would probably join him only for his own benefit, example of this is deceptigod, shockwave never joined deceptigod, meaning he isnt a true decepticon,he is just a cientific in the middle of a war,he does not cares about glory or conquer.
not ''always'' no, in the g1 comics he was TOO loyal towards Decepticons and cybertron to the point he fought Megatron for leadership. Also it's a new take.
@@pepita2437 Yes, because he was too loyal towards cybertron to the point of preferring saving the planet over saving the people, and that's my point precisely, earthspark Shockwave is not out of character
@@Alzeal07 Earthsaprk Shockwave is out of character. In other continuities has/had no friends, and he operates by logic, not sentiments/emotion. Megatron and Shockwave have never been friends. They both used each other. Megatron tolerated Shockwave because he gave the Decepticons the scientific edge, while Shockwave only joined Megatron, because that was the only way to be able to continue with his incredibly sus experiments. The only bot who we could call some kindof friend of Megatron was/is Soundwave (G1 he was the first who joined Megatron; in the Aligned continuity they were gladiators in the same arena, and had a friendship even before Megatron made his faction)
Yeah. In most continuities he just used the Decepticons/Megatron to be able to continue his incredibly unethical science experiments, while Megatron only tolerated Shockwave because of his competence and the scientific edge he gave over the Autobots. And contrary to what Earthspark Megatron implies, Shockwave and him were never friends.
@@KwasiAfriyie-dc5jo Nah. They were not. Just that the writers only had a very superficial knowledge of the Decepticons. I also suspect they really wanted to make Megatron sypathetic, and giving him an 'old friends' was part of this. The Decepticons werent operating the way the Autobots did, tied by loyalty, camaraderie, and friendship, pretty much in any continuity. The Decepticons were tied by anger/hate/lust for power even in the universe that made them sypathetic (like IDW)
'Old friend' Megatron have never been Optimus, he did not precieve his subordinates as friends. (except Soundwave in some continuities) At least not Shockwave. Megatron was tolerating Shockwave because fo the scientific edge he gave over the Autobots, and in turn Shockwav used Megatron to be able to continue his incredibly unethical science projects.
@@r0dos Because in this continuity, he never fell too deep into cynicism and despotism, and turned against Decepticons when they started to be the very thing they rebelled against. In other words, this Megatron is one that managed to keep to his ideals, instead of throwing them away for more power.
Earthspark Shockwave is voiced by Troy Baker. The voice actor for Animated Megatron is Corey Burton, who is also the voice actor for G1 and TFA Shockwave.
Yeah. The writers of this show have no idea about any of this characters. T_T Shockwave and Megatron have never been friends. Megatron tolerated Shockwave because he was useful, while SHockwave used Megatron, and the Decepticons to be able to continue his inredibly unethical, and evil science experiments.
