You know, Megatron might be a tyrant but he is an effective leader for the Decepticons. Starscream just enjoy the pleasure of being in charge but he isn't exactly fit for the responsibility especially seen in the mission to hijack the Autobots's cargo ship with the Combaticons. When he just boss around and abandon the mission in the end despite Onslaught's prior warnings, the Combaticons disobeyed him and was able to secure the ship even if it was just half of the cargo that are still intact. And yet, he dismissed them since they disobeyed his order which actually bring a decent result.

Don’t forget the “coronation, star scream? This is bad comedy” and then megatron turning into a cannon to blast star scream away, both being references to the original motion picture, where galvatron does the same.
@@iamkroot6098 Sadly Starscream doesn't die and become a ghost, but that bit was just a must have. You can't have Starscream get command without a grandiose display of his ego being ruined by Megatron putting him back in his place. It's their most iconic dynamic.
It's been what, 6? 7 or so years since this game came out, and it really doesnt show its age tbh, like, a few textures are a bit messy here and there, but I guarantee a texture mod for a PC port would make it look like a brand new game. High moon did an amazing job with the transfomers property and it's a shame we had to loose them.
What makes it more scary is that when Megatron learns that starscream has taken over HE WAS PISSED not like his usual angry no he was more angry than a khorne space marine
Imagine how starscream felt when he saw megatron randomly appear out of nowhere to taunt him, the 2 best possible choices to lead the decepticons after megatron are obviously soundwave and shockwave

The war for Cybertron and fall of Cybertron games along with tfp are the reasons that Megatron is by far my favorite transformer. I always loved him more than optimus despite everyone loving optimus. I just find him way too badass and such a good villian. Truly underrated and one of the best villians of all time
Man, Soundwave must have been a really good mechanic if he managed to bring Megatron back to life after Metroplex smashed him into pieces multiple times

I love this mission in particular because you get to use the Hover Ability to melee kill Leapers when the jump. I like fighting Leapers with just Melee. Not even the buffed Nuetron Assault Rifle Melee. It's a crime to use any gun other than the Riot Cannon with Megatron. Just basic well-timed R3.
@@nicholasnguyen5181i think shockwave already knew the plan, but remember that his priority mission is to built the portal tower as megatron ordered to, even when starscream took command, shockwave still doesn't stop from making the tower, that's why he let soundwave to do the work from behind the scene
Soundwave has been loyal from the beginning, and always have been there for Megatron even when he was badly damaged after his fight with Optimus Prime in the cartoon movie back in the 80’s. You could say he is Megatron’s chief lieutenant.
While Star Scream is a sneaky, traitorous bastard who always plans to take Megatron's place as leader of the Decepticons, Soundwave is very dependable and loyal towards Megatron. Always precise, calculating, and loyal to his rightful leader.

That was “NO” warning that was Barbaric Slaughter. Death & Finality. A true leader is some one who is Wise has Sheer Willpower, Courage, Compassion. Who cares for their soldiers who fights in heroic valor, honor and who takes responsibility for his Soldiers. Who overcome their fears. That:s the way I see Tthe Autobots & The Jedi. You cannot Control a government by keeping them in Fear with fist of Fury or a Cold Heart. You must have selfless empathy to other by doing acts of Good. That is the way The Light Side is and always shall be. But you and Decepticon’s use brutality you consider many of your civilians and troops as expendable with no guilty conscious. Embrace the Light Side & cherish its rewards of peace.
It happened again later in the final battle if you play Megatron. He jumps ontop of a downed Optimus, you then go 1st person. Megatron starts laughing and punching Optimus in the face. Optimus will then block one punch and grab Megatron's chest and pull him in for a headbutt to get free. Your screen gets badly shaken and screeches when Optimus does that.
I wish, they made more transformer games like this. Despite somewhat liking the idea of the dark spark in the rise of the dark spark game. It wasn't that great in my opinion. (It wasn't the earth and cybertron mix.) I guess, when it came to transformers. I always preferred it, when you could play both sides. (Autobot and decepticon.) Then again, i may be being biased. Due to the fact, i honestly prefer fall of cybertron over rise of the dark spark. And the fact, i could play as the decepticons in the former.
one thing i like about the Aligned version of Soundwave is how eternally loyal he is to Megatron. Here, Prime, even Robots in Disguise, he's always loyal to him. probably the only Con in the whole sub-franchise to not betray him, too
Too bad the Aligned continuity is now over. It would be amazing to play a game set in the pre-war era seeing how Megs and Soundwave meet each other for the first time and became allies.

To be a True Leader: Like Megatron, You have to be the bot, who makes the hardest decisions, go through the toughest sacrifices, show determination have the bravery & wisdom for your followers, & be for them. You & Shockwave are the most loyal Decepticon’s he could ask for but know overconfidence can lead toward your downfall. The Best Version of Starscream was from Transformers: Armada. It was one of the saddest Transformers Death’s I’ve ever seen. But you Cybertronian’s can be fixed and come back to life.

I honestly thought it was supposed to be something like an advanced satellite dish, considering Sound Wave is Megatron's communications and analytics expert.
Theres also an Easter Egg in the Optimus Prime levels where Laserbeak flies past you. If you follow him, he lands on one of the lamps which turns into Soundwave.

I like all the Decepticons who just NOPED out once they saw Megatron heading up. They were like, " nope, nuh-uh. Aint dealing with this, I never liked Starscream anyway."
Soundwave has re-used some of Megatron's parts, along with some other NEW parts and has reconstructed another Megatron... and re-named him LORD MEGATRON! "IT'S BEEN AWHILE."
I really love this voice of Megatron. It sounds strong and imposing. I also remember a comic when he was as big as Fortress Macimus and beat Firt Max to near death. Would love to see Prime and Megs that powerful in animated form.
The voice actor of megatron is fred tatasciore, you might reconize him as the voice of the hulk in many tv shows, animated movies and video games and personally to me just like kevin conroy is the voice of batman, Fred Tatasciore is the Voice of the Hulk
Well starscream motivation in becoming a leader is of self satisfaction. He's a greedy and ambitious con. And if he becomes a permanent leader, i doubt that the decepticons would last a megacycle

Team Jordan starscream is a lot smarter than megatron such as he doesn't let anyone capable of overthrowing him the chance to do it unlike megatron who lets the guy who flat out said he was going to betray him the position of second in command

Megatron may be evil. But we could see that he does hold respect for his men. They may follow him in fear of his destructive power. But that comes with respect.
Megatron has always been my favorite character, and these games have been my favorite interpretation. He just yells the most powerful, yet obscene things and I just love it!

It's a shame that the multiplayer servers for this game shut down, I absolutely loved it. I mean, I know people weren't playing it but still... it's kind of sad.
