This hits double nostalgia for me lol I'm hoping they find a way to take the "Battle Force 2000" set and monopolize on the base building gimmick along with making it a combiner.
Kup's definitely showing that the designers are learning from the pit falls of the previous three G.I.Joe crossover figures. None of Megatron's hollowness, none of Bumblebee odd proportions, and none of... whatever wasn't right about Soundwave, I forget. Also it seems like Mr Sgt Slaughter is holding his beating stick upside down.
Just think we could be like 2 phone calls away from having a Transformers, G.I. Joe, and WWE crossover. Imagine how cool it'd be to get two sets one with Optimus, Stg. Slaughter, and Hulk Hogan, then another with Megatron, Cobra Commander, and Rowdy Roddy Piper.
The engineering is great at disguising Transformers as GIJoe vehicles. I assume the GIJoe figures scale with regular GIJoe toys so you can mix and match them.
Technically it's a quad crossover as Sgt Slaughter is also in the Valaverse Action Force line. He owns his rights to his name, so whomever wants to pay his fee, they can use him. Which is cool IMHO.
Been looking forward to this one, huge transformers fan and coincidentally had this gi joe vehichle with Sgt Slaughter when i was a kid, big nostalgia vibes on this one!
man! they totally missed the opportunity to give Kup his cy-gar in his mouth like in the comics to make him Sgt. Kup, to go quite well with Sgt. Slaughter.
Seeing Leatherneck, I was thinking about his Department of the Navy buddy, Wet-Suit. A series of water vehicles- unfortunately most would end up being huge. Imagine Broadside, minus the triple change feature, as the USS Flagg... Seaspray as the Killer W.H.A.L.E. and Thunderblast (Cybertron) as the Cobra Moray. I know, everyone has been G1 continuity so far. Add a custom mold Pretender Submarauder as one of the pilot figures
Ooh, WWE-Transformers crossovers? Now there's a fun idea! - Eddie Guerrero would of course be a lowrider; - JBL his longhorn limo; - Undertaker could be either one of his sweet motorbikes, or a hearse (since bikes would make him smaller in comparison); - Austin could be his ATV, his pickup truck, or the infamous beer truck; - John Cena could have his Wrestlemania 23 Mustang, or the WM 22 mobster car; - Triple H could have the DX Tank, the DX Express, or his Wrestlemania 33 trike; - The Rock has a Pagini Huayra, which just looks like the Rock if he was a car; - William Regal would have to be a classy Rolls Royce But with wrestlers, they have such iconic gear you could justify judt about any choice, & the colours & designs would make it worth the price alone. Imagine cars inspired by Macho Man, Bret Hart, Hogan (classic & NWO), Booker T, Shawn Michaels...
Looks like the best one in this crossover line so far. It’s back-kibble is one of the better ones, 2nd to Soundwave. The new colors don’t look bad on him. And the pairing actually makes sense. Soundwave looks great & all, but him transforming into a vehicle for a biker gang is rather weird looking for him. Kup being paired with a Sargent makes the most sense. Also it comes with the original driver the vintage one had, which the previous ones weirdly didn’t have. Oh yeah, it’s practically a triple crossover. Fitting for both your channel, as your both a Transformers and WWE fan, & the name of the Joe vehicle.
Good figure, good transformation, but why the Triple T tank? Always thought it was one of the least sensible Joe vehicle. If they needed a Marine assault vehicle, the Warthog amphibious assault vehicle will at least stop a bullet from perforating the driver. I would love to see a Snow Cat (Blaster?). And a Vamp/Hound is WAY overdue. I was trying to figure out who could be the Decepticon version of the Vamp and can really only come up with Frenzy (if using the cartoon colors of red and black), Ravage (humanoid with cat head), or Reflector. Just wouldn't seem right to make one of the seekers into a ground vehicle.
Yes, this one is much better compared to the other Joe crossovers. Though ... Does Leatherneck just need one spicy meatball? No? Just me? And second, considering the other crossover, shouldn't we have a clear face shield along with these items to catch all the Slaughter spit? You know what I mean. Triple T meeting Triple H. 😅
as all three Gi Joe Transformers and wrestling fan I''m disappointed Sarge has his worst camo since Slaughter's Marauders The green points scream Hound not Kup. and Leatherneck has Recoil's gummy weapon not even his own, the only crossover I think came out right is Soundwave/Thunder Machine " I'm still upset no Thrasher with his own ride. That said it's a better Trple T than the original.
Am I the only one that doesn't like this Kup? The vehicle mode is fine, but in his robot mode he looks like he's going to perform in the Olympics. The green with the white chest just doesn't look right.
Vince McMahon was crazy to make Sergeant Slaughter a bad guy in 1991 during Desert Storm. Some people at the time still believed wrestling was actual real life and he was treated horribly in public and he got death threats! It was poor taste of Vince McMahon to bring real life war situation into wrestling and to put him in a dangerous situation. Anyway, as a wrestling fan, I am glad that asshole Vince McMahon is gone from WWE and "THAT'S AN ORDER!"
If you can fit a plane mode into him, remember, Broadside is a triple changer transformer. Also, it would have to be a commander size class figure at best.
