Dreadwing was originally the combined jetform of G1 Powermaster Dreadwind and Darkwing

Ngl, I'd legit love a modern version of this guy. Like if we get another G2 capsule line i hope they give it the extra budget for a unique Commander, cause I would love a new version of these guys

Only thing now these days Minus the gattling gun gimmick. Look at laser prime G2. the Original G2 Laser prime is far more superior. Working headlights, Disk launcher, Rocket launcher & 5 shot missile launcher. Legacy has nothing.

@kerry1979 I feel like if they were going to do a specifically G2 Commander class they would basically have no choice but to have the firing missiles and dropping bombs gimmick

Got mine back in Jr high then Back in 94. KB toys Had tons of him & G2 megatron For $9.99. I bought 2 of each of G2 from everything G2 til about 2013. I grabbed him off the shelf. I had allowance back in Jr high $20 a week. I remember in 96 I bought a ton of G2 stuff sealed. Plus My first time I knew about Laser prime. Marked down to $14.99 from 44.99 & I bought 2 of him. So I got 2 for the less then the price of 1. My G2 stuff still sealed in my room & on my wall. Also Dreadwing has the most Missiles at 14. I have all other versions The Beast wars 2 version, I have the 2003 RID version Which I was surprised they re released him. & I got the robot masters version.

Now how awesome would it be to have these remade in Legacy and repainted in their BWII versions? Those would be instant buys for me for sure. Great review, by the way.

Such a fun looking toy. Makes me hope for a modern update. Hope it’s more than just a retool & repaint of Legacy Dreadwing/Skyquake. Shame he’s got a problem keeping the missiles in place. On the bright side I’ve heard the reuses of the mold fixes that issue. G2 Dreadwing is also pretty infamous for his toy commercial with the rap number. Anyone remember that cringe?

What a great set! And even with some decent ball jointed articulation too. I do miss gimmicks and launching missiles sometimes. Anyhow, good job Bert!

I wonder why they took out firing launchers other toys still have them. They don't do the pressure one any more even. No springs. Which is cheaper.

I wish I had mine still from my childhood I got the rid 2001 version and the missiles on that version actually clip into the gattling gun

Great figures, I picked up mine at TFCON Baltimore in 2019 for a pretty good deal also. Field Artillery & Airborne....PPR & Bert. LOL! With all future molds of this set the missiles lock in...thank goodness.

Mean while I got mine back in 94 I was still buying toys all my life. Plus got another one sealed at KB toys for $9.99. Unlike lot of you guys toys Is my life. people I do not trust.
