This is phenomenal! Everything manages to look so animated, so alive without ever over saturating every scene with a bucket of effects, overlays, or wasted movements in parts. I can feel the passion and effort you put into each and every well caligraphed scene without them feeling stiff or limited. Good job, keep it up! Take notes, everyone. I'd actually argue that it's perfectly in character in this. He hasn't seen another Cybertronian in about 3 Earth years, and the last one tried to kill him. He was still weary of Scourge, and deduced that he was a threat, but gave him the benefit of a doubt still. You may think that's odd, considering that Scourge attacked him upon them meeting, but even if Optimus was on edge, he was talking to Scourge to get information out of him as well, which led to Optimus acquiring the Matrix. I think nuance in character interactions can lead to a lot of depth in a series, there's a reason why Autobots and Decepticons collaborating (or being forced to collaborate against a larger threat more so) is something that's happened multiple times in past series. Things would get dull if it was just "Autobot see Decepticon, Decepticon see Autobot, they fight" and nothing more to it
