@@PrimeVsPrime If anyone remember the super big Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers they made for the Force Awakens I'd not mind a figure like that for Unicron, it doesn't need to transform just be reasonably sculpted. As I can't see us ever getting the Rock body Avatars from Transformers Prime which would have been the best choice for that sort of toy Unicron idea. I also wouldn't mind a Planet Mode lamp either.

Fun fact: Rhinox is supposed to be a lot taller than Primal so technically he’d be a leader class or Primal would be deluxe class

The 90s toyline really screwed with our size perspective. Why'd they make Rhinox deluxe even?! The 90s Rhinox was terrible. Worst features were his lazy head sculpt, thin arms and over-sized skirt. He only had 1 spinning motor. I was pretty ok that it wasn't even a machine gun, but the chain flail didn't make sense as he'd hit himself.

Thes mainline/SS figures are so neat. They look in images like straight retools to the corresponding Kingdom molds….but they’re not. There are some shared pieces of engineering, but they almost seem to be “inspired” by the Kingdom figures rather than actual retools. So strange.

Absolutely loving the reviews! As always, PvP is comprehensive and throws in just the right amount of humor. If I had one teeny tiny critique, I think it's the overuse (and occasional misuse) of "literally." This might just be me being a weird English major though.

Going to defend the Kingdom Rhinox here. The only downside I can really point to is the way the arms work, which looks exactly the same on this new version. The arms on the kingdom do transform better though, leaving no gap in the forearm. The legs' transformation on the kingdom version is brilliant and works much better than this version, leaving no kibble or hollow spaces. Not sure where the 'horrific' description comes from, but to each their own.

@@PrimeVsPrime I get it, its why I say to each their own. 👍 My figure might just be less stiff than yours, and the leg conversion just might be smoother. I think the engineering is top notch keeping the back legs for the rhino but just making them bulkier just like in the show was handled fantastic. I have all the kingdom figures and rhinox is one of the best imo.

I like the brown. Why do you want all of the Maximals to be greyish and colorless? The Studio Series Cheetor would look a lot better with a more vibrant color scheme.

That’s definitely gonna be a miss for me, I’m happy to wait for the Studio Series version of Rhinox alongside Mirage, Wheeljack, Nightbird, and Optimus Primal Hopefully in the near future we might see Stratosphere, Transit and Predacon Scorponok as figures (mainline or Studio Series)

+PrimeVsPrime The Takara Rhinox toys are quite often this odd Brown so one can see it in those terms perhaps. The Rhino Battlemaster is also released with a 2 pack so you can get a 2nd one that way too.

I think that has way too many issues: unnecessary kibble and hollow spaces, as well as that flat butt. Transformers Generations 30 year anniversary Rinox is still the best version to me. It matches up perfectly with the original Optimus Primal and has him being able to hold the twin gatling guns that spin with a gimmick.

If I’m being honest, these mainlines are looking and (so far) posing better than whatever studio series RotB figures we’re getting tbh. And since I got the Jungle Missions 3 Pack a good while ago, I’m planning on getting the other mainlines, that being Rhinox, Prime, Primal, Airazor, and Bee. But when we get a Unicron figure, if we do, he better be a Titan Class, and a big one like the Studio Cell 01 figure.

I like Kingdom Rhinox. Amazing looking rhino mode and the transformation isn't that hard, but you must know how to bend the legs just the right way.

The kingdom Rhinok is better in both modes and is more stream line with the transformation. For example kingdom’s legs is way better at hiding the kibble the ROTB ones does.
