I love how Hasbro tease us by giving us desired characters as different ones in different paint jobs. I love this 2-pack though, by far my favourite SG figures!
Oh, I definitely prefer the Rodimus Motorheadicus colors (and Lemmy Kilmister mustache!) but with so many bangers coming out this summer and fall it's hard to justify when I already have the PotP version and the original Armada Sideswipe, as well as three or four previous versions of the WFC Sideswipe mold.
I agree wholeheartedly with PvP that mold of Hot Rod is INCREDIBLY GOOD. I was so glad that I didn’t pass on em’ when I saw him, I think I was looking for Earthrise Star Scream but didn’t see him and got Hot Rod, instead_ Glad I did! …I might have to get THIS set too!☺️
Already pre-ordered this and so exited for this, for now shattered glass sideswipe will be my Armada wheeljack until we get the proper collors for him 💥💳💥💳💥💳
I literally don’t get why they’ve not released earlier in the States, I live in the UK and have received mine from Pulse just only a few days after the pre-orders went up. Hope you get and enjoy them though.

honestly if they did their repaints like this i think they'd fly off the shelves. instead of seeing "yellow sideswipe" or "blue sideswipe" it'd be easier to see a new and unique character and want them.

Black Transformers just look SO nice! 🖤 Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime is one of my favorite Autobots and this looks sick! (Although, I think I like that Cyberverse black Hot Rod a little bit more!)
As far as we know they’ve only changed the head and chest by giving it the iconic slash across the Autobot logo, nothing else looks new to me. Plus they’ve given us his weird swords.

found this set today and I like the mold and repaint. The minicon is also cool. Haven't read the shattered glass comic. Battle damaged versions look cool.

I have Power of the Primes Rodimus Unicronus but this one looks much better. Sideswipe is also nice addition (I like the scar and head) but I agree that we have enough of this mold
This set is fantastic! I’ve been looking forward to getting SG Sideswipe. Love his story, his colors, and he is accessorized wonderfully. Rodimus is a punk. I love it. He is wicked! He also is accessorized great too! Great set!
I just noticed the Autobot symbol on Sideswipes (Wheeljacks) chest is *_molded,_* I fucking love that. All of the original Armada figures did that so its amazing to see here, just wish they did that for all the Armada figures we've gotten up to now.
Here's a little history to answer most questions about SG Sideswipe. In Shattered Glass lore, in accordance to BotCon\ FUN Publications, Sideswipes original colors were very different. But after Optimus made Sideswipe kill his best friend Drench, Sideswipe left the Autobots and repainted himself the colors of his dead friend. That is why this Sideswipe has these colors. If you Google G2 Drench, you can see as well. SG Sideswipe has a DEEP hatred for Optimus.

My sideswipe had really soft plastic. The inner leg parts plastic shaped. Just by transforming. It wasn’t a bit snip but it was neat that one part that went under the kneee
I can't wait till they make the Armada Wheeljack from that mold, will still definitely get him. I do have Gigawatt and he's also a retool of this mold which is cool, it is a pretty great mold but yeah, after that, I think we're all good and done with it. Now Rodimus looks sick! I love the look! Way better IMO than Hotrod, really looking forward to this! He gives me an 80s Biker cop vibe especially with the stash and Visor. And Mini-Cons FTW! Man I can't wait for the rest of em! I have all the original 3 pack Mini-Cons and most of the Mini-Cons with the figures so remaking them just excites me.
More Armada figures? Sign me up! Though I've not been keeping up to date with TF releases lately. Digging that Rodimus figure, gives nice Rodimus Unicronus vibes.
Ya know, yer mini-MP descriptor for SS86 Hot Rod has me hoping for a 3rd MP Roddy based on its engineering, but with enhanced shoulder joints, a more filled out vehicle mode (The incomplete back, the somewhat obvious arms and the hood hinges ruin its coheshion), make the back of the legs more cartoon accurate and have more opaque plastic on the go. Or if they wanna go for real vehicle parts, Kingdom Rodimus does the chest super nicely
While Sideswipe looks cool, i’m most likely just gonna wait until the eventual armada Wheeljack release rather than looking for this part of the 3-pack online
