Transformers Studio Series 101 RISE OF THE BEASTS Leader Class SCOURGE Review 

I would have never guessed in a million years that we would be getting so many new figures and redesigns in the last year. I couldn’t believe tarn finally had an official transforming figure, the fallen had a studio series figure made and now a brand new design for scourge. This looks to be one of the best years I have ever seen.

You know the figure is gonna be great when the preview shots are a minute in length

Calling Wheeljack Elton John just so casually made my day 🤣🤣

now this is badass character design at its finest

This guy looks sick! (Also maybe the terrorcon insignias could be from fallen allies, but it would be terrifying if he kills his weaker soldiers as a “survival of the fittest” theme)

the terrorcons have got to be the best out of the rotb line, first battle trap now Scourge

The legs aside this looks like an awesome figure of Scourge, can’t wait to get him! He feel like what it means to be an old style leader, just sweet. Like how the faction symbols from his victims are actually on the grill also, Hasbro have sure gone the extra mile for him!

He looks awesome, I can’t wait to see him on screen, and Peter Dinklage… I’ve never seen him play someone evil, but he definitely has the ability. On Game of Thrones, when he walked into a room and started speaking, there might as well not been anyone else there!

The Elton John bit will never get old 😂

9:25 Literally just learned who Elton John was today when my dad showed me a video of an interview with him and Rowan Atkinson about why he named himself that instead of John Elton, and it was hilarious. Love how this guy looks, can't wait for him to come out. Great video!

Love what they are doing with Scourge in the movie. Combining aspects of his G1 & RID for a great memorable villain. Really hoping he’s a herald for Unicron in this movie!

I still think it’s hilarious that he calls Wheeljack “Elton John” 🤣

The asymmetrical look and double-jointed neck makes me think of Scourge as a "levelled up" animated Lockdown and I here for it.

These figures are insane! I remember being worried they would run out of momentum with these figures at one point, but they still keep delivering!

I didn't like the neck sculpt in the photos before but it looks way better now. I actually think this is a cool looking bot. The faceplate sculpt is definitely badazz! Love the glowing components.

I’m even more excited for this Scourge in the movie! His design all in all is very impressive!

Finally got it. Alt mode is fiddly, but robot mode bangs. My figure's sword is constantly falling off the hinge. Spend time painting the badges with a silver sharpie, it makes the figure pop. 8/10.

After watching the movie. Scourge, already a great figure would benefit even more with an upgrade kit by DNA designs.

I have Legacy Scourge and I might actually save my money on Rise of the Beasts Scourge because the way he looks is freaking menacing and cool! I think Scourge is indeed one of my favorite Transformers characters.

I will never stop saying this. ROTB Scourge looks like a Necromorph Slasher. The claw hand, the huge blade on his other hand, his head, the Terrorcon mask he wears, the chains, the scarred skin, all have the feeling of some reanimated zombie. Really makes you think Scourge was revived by Unicron and reformatted to be as ugly and terrifying as possible by the Chaos Bringer.

This guy just looks so premium! So much great paint and sculpting. My main hold up is the design itself. I’m a little undecided on whether I like how asymmetric and unusually proportioned he is, but he’s growing on me! Great figure nonetheless!

Ordered. I was sceptical to begin with, but when proper images start to show up, I knew it was a must have. I LOVE the orange plastic, seeing it through the cracks of the truck body just makes him look angry and fired up! Love it!! Thanks for the video!

This figure looks incredible! Unrivaled mold and paint detail, an amazing design, and an awesome truck. The transformation is really clever too. Cannot wait to see this guy in the movie.

I can already tell Scourge is gonna be a force to be reckoned with.

That joint issue im sure will probably be fixed before he's released, but that tiny issue aside Scourge is WICKED. No question him and Battletrap are my favorite Cons in a good long while.

So cool! The claw arm kinda creeps my out since it looks like slenderman's tentacles. I can see this as a huge remold for a knight prime imo

My guess is the Terrorcon emblems are of traitors. I love that his face is used as their emblem, it shows they're not simply another faction, but specifically HIS faction, I assume a small group of hunters with their job being to help Scourge in whatever his goals are.

I didn’t think there would ever be a SS leader class figure better than the fallen but I was wrong scourge looks badass

One thing I would change is if they can make the smokestacks a little closer together when in vehicle form. And for the chest the bumper guard is accurate but when he goes to vehicle mode it’s all straighten out.

Literally just got this Guy. Been 5 months of waiting for it to hit the shelves in my area. It never did, luckily my local toy store got one from someone's collection so I was able to finally get him at a very reasonable price. Now just to find a studio series Ironhide from the movie and I can go back to finishing up My WFC collection. Love this guy. Also side note for others who purchase this guy and any other New figures. Slowly WORK out the joints to initially loosen them up for transformation, this is the 3rd figure I've bought that I've had to work the joints out a little so that the plastic doesn't feel like it's going to crack from never being transformed.

I just got this amazing figure and while the transparent orange plastic isn't cracked yet, I'm sure it will. That's why I took your advice and file down the indents. Such a goood idea. The grey plastic did change color a little but it's not that bad. Thank you so much. I used the same file as for my tabletop miniatures. Worked great.

I hope we can get a masterpiece version of him at some point

Rise Of The Beasts Scourge for the Transformers Studio Series line is definitely something us Transfans wanted for a while ever since the official introduction and announcement of Rise of the Beasts. Anyway, thanks for notifying us about the design flaw in the toy; I'm among the many to be on the lookout for that one the moment Scourge arrives in the mail. Anyway, keep up the good work; I can't wait for more. If I were to rate this review on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 9 quadrillion.

Awesome review I'm ready for rise of the Beast's!

There's a lot of cool stuff going on with this figure (the design, and the asymmetric weapons are great), but there are also some little problems I think they could have fixed with leader class price? Maybe a wrist rotation and double-jointed elbow/knee? Large chunk of transparent plastic that might crack is also iffy at this price. With the current price of leader class, I don't think I can justify picking him up

I imagine the terrorcon logo on his chest could indicate a fourth terrorcon who got killed for failing or betraying him 4:15 he will shred the universe down to its last atom

Awesome detailed review. Personally don't mind these Leaders being slightly smaller as they scale much better with current toys than the previous ones. Transparent plastic is always scary when hinged or meant for transformation, but hopefully the Q/C is improved as a $75 dollar plus toy should be durable for play/multiple transformations as this one looks like a lot of fun in both modes. Also the fiery furnace aspect of this guy feels like the writer took inspiration from the Fallen comic character from whichever series it was. Either DW or IDW can't remember its been so long.

The essence, of the head being headless, is the stand out feature. It represents, intentionally or not, the chaos of the Terrorcons.

Definitely worth the leader price. I feel in love with that truck the first time i saw it. Can't wait to get my hands on it

Despite him looking like he skips leg day, this is a figure I’m 100% adding to my collection. His asymmetrical design is so cool with his sword arm and claw and his head sculpt makes him look kinda like an Egyptian god which is awesome

Only one word to describe this hell of a masterpiece **BADASS**

It's a good figure, maybe a 3rd Party will pick up the slack, like designing new legs (like they did for Siege Ultra Magnus). A piece could have been made that hides the mess (while reflecting the film vehicle's rear) and acts like a cannon shield for Freezer. I'd like to see Scourge or another transformer explain the insignias he's collected as one looked like half of Wheeljack's true head (G1/ Bumblebee face profile) and explain the difference between a full face and half a face. (this could end up being as interesting as the film itself, if done right) That could explanation could end up being a film or series on its own.

I love the design of this figure, definitely purchasing him. I might be getting all three Terrorcons this year and all Legacy Junkions. Both are Mad Max.

Does anyone else’s figure have loose smoke stacks? I can get them to stay up when hes completely still, but they fall to the side at the slightest movement. Any solutions that yall would know of? I also noticed my cheetor has a loose limbed arm, so maybe its just the line unfortunately 🤷‍♂️, but Id love to hear potential fixes if yall have the same or similar issues
