Ohhh my God this figure is so amazing. All things you can do with him. I love it. In my opinion I think this figure is better than the SS 32. I love everything about this figure but I just wish there were so more paint applications just like you said in the review. You're doing awesome as always. Thanks👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🍟🍟🍟

Brice Wotring leader class figures are usually bigger and have more complex transformations, as well as being more expensive. They’ve been using this class system for years

I like to think that the Jetwings that Prime uses in Dark of the Moon, are upgraded versions of JetFire's parts given in Revenge of the Fallen. Thus before Age of Extoinktion, Ratchet had helped further upgrade the DOTM Jetwings into Optimus' systems, thus allowing Optimus to be able to fly on his own by the end of TF4.

@Zebroroxx Productions The weapons aren't painted, there's hollow bits and the figure is just a slightly remodeled version of another figure, not to forget that it's $50. And you say this is 'very detailed'?

I like the idea of their arms transforming into their weapons WFC/FOC style. The sword is cool and all, but I prefer how the first SS08 Prime had swords that looked like they protrude out of his arms.

I recently got the re release of this figure, and I agree about the chest panels being painted silver instead of being transparent, its actually possible to swap them with previous releases primes because they aren't screwed in or anything.

I LOVE how light and easy to install the jetwing pack is! He really does look great with it. Jetpower Prime is really really cool but it's a lot more steps to get him into that mode. I can't wait to pose them together :D

I'm ready for them to remake this figure to be more size accurate. Using the same molds as ss32 and ss44, but a little more larger so that he stands on par with Megatron and is bigger than ironhide.

Hmmmm, there's a big lack of painting in the weapons and the trailer and that's disappointing... Also, I don't like the silver windows in the truck mode. However, it is a great addition to the SS line, and the other changes in this Optimus (compared to the 32 one) are really nice and more screen-accurate. I don't know if I'll get this one, I'm still looking for the 32 Optimus. Great review, as always. I was looking forward to this one with enthusiasm ^^

Thank you for an unbiased review. Clearly Hasbro blew the paint budget on the core figure which is fine, the trailer is much easier to repaint if one wants to and it's easily the best version of the trailer from the movie

I actually don’t mind the lack of paint on the weapons too much. I’m planning on getting this Optimus and painting the weapons myself. I’m also glad that they finally put some orange and yellow onto the truck mode!

Considering how much we're paying for basically a voyager sized figure I do wish the hollow bits were actually filled out more. And some more paint would be nice. But I don't think it's a bad figure at all. I'll probably end up getting it.

The trailer looks SICK and the fact that you can give him the jetpack and still combine him with Jetfire is perfect. But the weapons aren't that great. I'm sure DNA design will work on better weapons for Prime.

I pre-order mine, it's a boomer the lack of paint on some parts but pretty sure repro labels will get something. Also I don't know what was hasbro thinking with the shield. Hard to accommodate on top it's too small same with the axe. Overall still not bad, I waited very long for an optimus that came with the trailer.

This is pretty bizarre, I’ve seen others with this figure but I’m puzzled as to why the version you own has his abdominal region painted in silver while others normally have it unpainted. That being said, that silver paint on yours makes a world of a difference to me (in a rly good way) Edit: I forgot to add that normally the abdomen section is unpainted red plastic in stock photos

I had to refer back to this video before buying it and I have to say that I'm sold. It's basically #4 and #32... but substantially better. Like... it's no contest. Three months later but thanks again! Kinda blown away that Blackout costs more than this guy.

Great review and video as always, keep up the good work! Also I just noticed that the DOTM Optimus chest windows have these silver panels behind them unlike the 2007 and ROTF cgi so maybe that was what they were trying to simulate with the silver paint?

Just ordered this, hoping it’s a decent purchase.... I agree the shield mount is a shame but looking back at TFDotm and the first battle with Shockwave I think it may actually be screen accurate? I can’t quite tell but it looks like he does hold it in the ‘captain America style’ as you put it?

The trailer *really* should’ve been a lighter color. If not painted silver, at least make it a lighter grey. But overall I definitely think I’ll get this one. I’ve been waiting so long for it Also how do the Optimus and Megatron trucks and trailers stack up to each other?

one time i bought a optimus prime trailer for my rotf leader class figure but it was incredibly flimsy and would break apart, thank god hasbro made this figure
