I love sideswipe. I'm sad he's no longer being used. I pray TF ROTB will have sideswipe as a mix of G1 and his Bayverse counterpart. I've heard there was a autobot in the background of BB cybertron scene that had the same ears and blade as bayverse sideswipe

I've been waiting for this version of studio series Sideswipe. His vehicle mode was much better than the one in Dark of the Moon. It's much better with the roof. I can't wait to get this!

People were so pissed because he “wAsN’t a nEw MoLd.” Imo, he’s better than the DoTM simply for better paint.

The original ROTF Sideswipe toy was one of my favorite of the line and I am for sure picking this guy up.

Is it target exclusive or normal figure ? I don't like target exclusives beacouse i am living in poland and in this country we havent any targets and walmarts :/

the studio series dotm Sideswipe i think it's the better mold but for that version of the character, in my opinion the best rotf Sideswipe mold still is the sidearm Sideswipe

I'm ok with this backpack but the lack of headlights is really getting on my nerves! Like, it's so small but so crucial, they went after all the trouble to paint and model the roof and back and just forgot the headlights for no reason

Some people said that they have different face but I tried to custom my dotm SW they had the same now

I'm glad they're releasing another sideswipe since scalper prices are insane

I might buy this just to display him in vehicle form since I love it more than DOTM. Other than that things like more paint isn't enough to king this version. Not to mention every version of ROTF Sideswipe has an unappealing backpack making the robot suffer.

I like the dark of the moon sideswipe better

I'm waiting for a Studio Series G1 Optimus Prime to be in the works. Same goes for Studio Series G1 Megatron.

I want this to add to my Movie Autobots collection since I didn't get a chance to buy the DOTM one. But I love the car mode though

Sideswipe was one of my favorite characters from the Bay films, along with Dino, Ironhide (rip) and Jazz (also rip)

This figure got me back into Transformers. I was never able to afford the Takara version of Sidearm Sideswipe and when I could afford it, I had jumped off the Transformers wagon. . . Then one day I'm browsing through Target and find this guy on the shelf - based on how amazing he looked, I knew he'd be a hard figure to find for most collectors, so I snatched him instantly. Such a great figure and easily the best Sideswipe figure out there IMO!

I want: Sideways The Fallen Que Devcon Scorn Strafe Slug Onslaught Mohawk Dreadbot Breakaway Warpath Longarm Knockout (green motorcycle from ROTF) I wouldn’t mind: Galvatron Infernocus I would consider: Stratosphere Dragonstorm

To sum up my opinion: RotF has the better paint, but I like the DotM sculpt better. The backpack is more compact there and I always liked the convertible look better, which may not seem fair but that's just my opinion.

I bought this figure and I don't like the transformation experience at all. Also, the fact the pieces can't tightly fit is kind of annoying. The mode robot looks great, but don't like the vehicle mode. The seams are really noticeable.

i wonder if you can switch the dotm roof to the roft version?

I got the DOTM version so I’m not upset if I don’t see him

I do love his 2009 vehicle mode look a lot more.

Studio series sure has a problem with putting the roof and hood of everything on the back of the figure

I hope The Dark of The Moon Ironhide comes out soon!!! I predict it will have his Double Iron Mechtech Rifels!!! That would be amazing!!!

Honestly I like this but I think the DOTM is better I just like the convertible more.

This is the first time I'm gonna double dip on a figure because it's just that good. Sideswipe is one of my favourite characters in bayverse and with all these improvements it's one of my top priorities to get. Great review as always bro!

Since we’re getting RotF figures that we’re missing, hopefully they do the same for DotM next year. If not, then some DotM remakes would be nice, like the Wreckers and Starscream.

This guys vehicle mode is cool but it falls apart easily

The paint looks so good. Sucks it’s an exclusive as target is a good drive from me but I’ll definitely try to pick him up as well as grindor and jolt

Question: is it possible to remove the ROTF Swipes backpack and swap itfor the DOTM one, or are there transformation diffrences? cause it would be awsome if we could "upgrade" the DOTM look by swaping these for display As in when we want a DOTM Sideswipe we put the DOTM backpack/ alt-mode on and the same with ROTF I love the DOTM figure but this has better paint and can acctually roll so I'd like have the option of displaying it in both the DOTM and ROTF looks

The vehicle mode is absolutely gorgeous. My Wal-Mart in Canada finally got this today, and he was the last one on the shelf too. It is like he was waiting for me. Thank god I decided to take a trip to Wal-Mart after work, as everyone else grabbed him too.

I love the ROTF Design and even though I already have the DOTM version I will pick this one up, unless the rumours it's an American Target only figure are true.

The original toys were better molds with cleaner exteriors than these Studio Series toys, not to mention they were in scale with the voyager class

This is so cool I can’t wait for the transformers studio series revenge of the fallen deluxe class sideswipe I already got the transformers studio series dark of the moon sideswipe deluxe class so now I can’t wait for this new one to come out in fall 2021 say maybe September 🤩😉 so I hope it come out in store 🏬 very soon

Hm. I like the ROTF sideswipe’s vehicle mode more, but I think the robot mode on the DOTM sideswipe’s is better because it has less of a backpack, and you could just repaint it.

Although I have the dotm sideswipe I'm no doubt picking this guy up the paint is so much better and I kinda prefer the hardtop Corvette rather than the convertible

Strangely the front car headlights are still on the robot arms even in the DOTM version of the toy

Y’all I’m sorry, but I personally think the original SS sideswipe is better. It’s just the fact that it was advanced for the time it was released. The rotf version however, is on par with modern figures.

He didn’t even mention the cool hydraulic leg pistons that actually go inside the legs

These figures cost $10 at the beginning of that movie series and are now $25 for the same figure 16 years later…🤦‍♂️

My copy of Sideswipe doesn't roll as smoothly as I thought. The 2 front wheels don't roll at all, they're really stiff, anyone got any solutions to fix it?

I got him today and wow what a mess my copy is. The chest pieces were not painted, they were dis-proportioned and the joints are very loose. I'll be getting a refund from Pulse in due course.

That's exactly the paint that the old roft sideswipe had, I must get this one to have them both next

The backpack is a lot better on the old one. But it's a clean sweep for the new otherwise. These two and MPM ratchet/ KO have convinced me the difference between a cheap looking figure and a premium looking figure is the paint job.

There was one time, I saw both Barricade, and Sideswipe at Walmart, I could have gotten Sideswipe, but I chose Barricade instead, and now I wish I got Sideswipe, but I’m glad that Hasbro will be releasing this new one! I won’t make the same mistake again with this guy!

I just got this one yesterday and I really like it but it doesn't roll very well. The front wheels stick quite a bit. I'm not sure if I'm missing something in transformation.

men i use to have this figure when i was a kid until my mom donated it 😢😢😢 i could've had a big collection but it all got donated😢😢

Kust got mine, i can say that the 1st day i didnt get mucj time with it, the transformation thw 1st time sucked and the car looked decent bexause of the 2 front wheels being lifted. However, after i got some time with it the next day i can say i absolutely love it. Its no hot rod but its awesome still, also it has the best weapon deposit of all which also adds a bit to the look
