The robot mode's definitely an improvement on the original. However, the vehicle mode leaves a LOT to be desired. I wish they'd taken what was good about that design and enhanced it with some of the new one's features.
@@DalekTheSupreme I agree I hope they repaint rampage into skipjack scavenger into demolisher and longhaul into payload witch will give us more creativity with the constructicons
Very cool, I always like this style. I will say, I think one tab was missed. In combine mode I believe the shoulders that are resting on the armatures that connect to the wheel in the back, I think there's a tab to lock them in.
@@NexusProductions-rz1sv nice , and lucky I have found 3 of the 9 ( I wanna get the yellow rampage ) I wanna get them all so bad but I have no way to do it it really sucks
@@cademurphy6998 Cool. Yeah I think I'll do a poll once I have Overload asking if it's worth it to get a second Rampage to paint yellow. Personally I think Devastator had too much yellow, but hey it depends.
What a great review my man I do believe your the first to show how Mixmaster actually combines with scavenger such a big fan of this figure and your work I always look forward to your style of review thanks brother
I'm actually a bit confused still on the whole connection thing because in youtuber yu wang's video, he uses a slot that you can clearly see, even on this video, that is on those red side sections that connect to the top wheel in robot mode. Well in Yu's video those slots are used with tabs on Mixmaster, that you can see under the wheels, and the shape and everything lines up perfectly, so I feel like maybe the combination of the head to the chest may need to still be tweaked a little bit, unless this is a coincidence and those tabs and slots are just there for the individual transformations (but it sure looks intentional on his video)
Hasbro really knows how to get us committed! Opening with that dope Rampage really hooked me. Scavenger and Hightower in the middle just confirmed its gonna be a good end product... And at this point, seeing them all so far,... of course Scrapper and Overload are my most anticipated studio series figures coming up from the entire line! Thank you PvP for your great videos!
For anyone who doesn’t know, you can actually get Scavenger to stand unsupported on one wheel. The ridges on his bottom wheel can actually get him to stay in place. A little shaking might be able to knock him over, but he actually will stand pretty dark securely on a flat, level surface. When I realized this, Scavenger instantly went from a 7 to a 10 in my book.
I've noticed everyone calls Demolisher/Scavenger's design ugly but I really do love it for some reason and just how huge he was, my ranking of the construction designs from ROTF would be: 1. Long Haul 2. Demolisher/Scavenger 3. Scrapper 4. Rampage 5. Mixmaster 6. Overload 7. Scrapmetal
A million thanks pal! At one point I thought I'd need counselling as it's so bladdy complicated. It's an incredible feat of engineering and it's got some awesome detailing and dynamics (as does the rest of the Devastator team), but this one was definitely the most challenging. Not for the faint hearted nor is it a 2 minute job with a cup of tea, but take your time and the entire devastator will finally blow your mind in the final form. Have some likeage dude!!
I'm really excited for this guy! I love the weird-ass design haha Good thing I held on to my dotm cyberverse commander Optimus he should be a perfect size to go with this guy!
Thank you for being the only person on the internet who shows how the Mixmaster connect I was just about to throw it through the window lol the instructions do not show you anything
There are no bad continuity issues. They are two different characters, just as you have two Mixmaster characters: one that gets destroyed by Jetfire and one that forms Devastator. If you do some research, you will learn that there are more Constructicons that look the same or similar, just as you also have Autobots and Decepticons that look similar. Remember Blackout from Transformers 2007 comes back in Revenge of The Fallen as Grindor, which looks the same, but it is slightly bigger, or Topspin from Dark of The Moon which comes back as Volleybot in The Last Knight. Other than that, great review, and I can't wait to get my hands on it as I have pre-ordered it a long time ago, but for some reason they have not dispatched it yet.
I swear, the Constructicons are fucking awesome. Their unique designs, from the two-wheeler that is Scavenger, to the T-Rex that was Hightower, they were some baller designs. Glad Studio Series brought said designs justice.
Finally! Someone who does size-comparisons with all of the Constructicons and other SS figures! Why is it so difficult for reviewers to do this? (granted they're not borrowing their figures). Like... just show us all of the Constructicons together; show us the combined mode thus far; show us some size comparisons and that's it! I mean it's more work but come on. Once again, not to sound like an utter biotch (or kiss-ass) but PVP, you've proven yet again that you're the strongest reviewer in the game, covering all of your bases and giving collectors an in-depth, enthusiastic overview of the newest figures. I can't wait for Devastator! He's like an event lol
@@Galleam I know, and I'm not about to speak lowly of a content creator in the comment section of another content creator of the same category but PVP is far more expressive in his overviews. His comparisons come with a little more heart, as does the entire review. You can feel his passion for what he's looking at because he doesn't just like: he loves it. And ultimately, Ton Ton did not show off much in his Mixmaster review. Didn't combine him with the others; didn't show him compared to the rest of the entire team or other SS bots (not even a group shot?). It was a bit of a letdown whereas PVP has actually shown 100% of what people want to know and see. It's pickiness, I'll admit. Ton Ton did a good job but PVP scratches those subtle itches, like (again) the group shot and the current combined progress.
really good review my friend, i ve proordered him and for me, this fgure is perfect, so when this figure will arrive !!!, good review PvP ; ) PS: I like the the display at the begining of the video
@@ALLHAILTRANSFORMERS Only the bot mode is good, and not even accurate but he have an excellent and menacing look. But the alt mode is... Completely ugly and inaccurate. Without Overload I prefer not to judge the torso mode.
0:31 or when he gets shot by helicopters and turns around and makes that good noise just to let you know he truly turned Around and he's mad because he got shot at
"Really bad continuity issues" Well apparently two characters that look alike are continuity faultlines because as we all know theres no two people on Earth who look alike at all.
I find it funny you mentioned DoTM Megatron as being the weakest leader because... Well I agree. The leader class Studio Series I have so far are him, Blackout, and Jetfire, and he is definitely the weakest (followed by Blackout. Jetfire is definitely the best and it's sad I opened him first so I experienced the quality in reverse order) But for me I was able to get them all on sale, with Megatron actually being cheaper than the voyager Optimus (!) so I guess in the end it was worth it.
Hey I enjoyed this video :). No but on the real thank you. I have to always come back here because I always forget to rotate scavenger’s arms in combine mode lol. Keep up the great work
Tbh I wish they made it the arms white like the movie. Also I dislike the size problem, optimus Prime was the size of the top wheel at max, here hes barely taller than skipjack!
Not gonna lie. I loved Demolisher/Scavenger's design. It was a really unique Decepticon shape. Wish we had seen more of him actually. Anyway, this character is actually in scale with the Legends Class Cyberverse figures.
My mind really is telling me, that I should GET SCAVANGER! But we can agree that the Voyager Demolisher and Stratophere really scale perfectly, consider Strato includes a mini Optimus.
Tbh i feel like towards the end of studio series if they wanted to they can screw around and make a titan class demolisher and take away the combining gimmick
Hasbro has gave the transformer people fans a assume treat for the studio series devastator. i still yet to get scavenger and mixmaster, but still the studio series devastator will be an exultant edition to the studio series. me like.
I am in agony waiting for Scrapper and Overload to come out. I bought Rampage and Scrapmetal as early as possible, and I got Long Haul and Hightower in quick succession. I am likely going to have to wait for the street date for Mixmaster and Scavenger, but rest assured, you have me watering at the mouth for the whole picture.
When you combined the Constructicons that you have and left the legs to the side, it reminded me of when Devastator is blasted apart in Revenge of the Fallen.
Name: Scavenger Allegiance: Decepticons Sub-Group: Constructicons Combiner Body Part: Chest of Devastator Alternate Mode: Red-Colored O&K RH400 Mining Excavator Movie(s): Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Status: Scavenger would immediately die due to the damage he took because of the Rail Gun Round Shot while forming Devastator's Chest and would suffer more when Devy falls off to the pyramid.
Also pvp i dont know if you know this but there were tabs in the tip of the legs that connect to those arm pieces so you can get an even more secure connection
I am getting scavenger 13th of April. (The day after my birthday) I can't wait. Out of all of the bayverse constructions would be scavenger. When I saw him in the film( I thought demolisher and scavenger were the same.) I flipped out. I can't wait. Aweosme video btw. I hope everyone who reads this comment has an excellent life and if you want I will sub to you. Just comment
I wish they gave him a stand like Rampage did. It would make posing him much easier. That was the same mistake they made the original voyager figure. Having to rely on the arms for stability limits the amount of posing you can do.
@@PrimeVsPrime good news im gettimg loug haul for Christmas but i already have that its on its way i ordore it from Amazon and i have Hightower, rampage and scrappmetal
Scavenger and demolisher and two different people just like skipjack and rampage are two different people They are twin Both with the ability to combine into devastator Like the acree sisters And also like skids and mudflat
