The fite betwen Blaster and Soundwave form TF Heasmasters ep 2 Mystery Of Planet Master. BTW Soundwave and Blaster are not dead for long Both are upgraded into Soundblaster and Twincast.
Galvatron screams with sadness because he lost one of his most loyal soldiers and possibly friend. Soundwave always supported him, even when Megatron was damaged after his battle with Optimus, Soundwave went to find him and take him to Astrotrain. He never tried to betray him unlike the other decepticons ..
Soundwave is the MOST loyal decepticon to Megatron/Galvatron and to his minions, Soundwave's like the caring version of Megatron/Galvatron, maybe like a father
You are right. Soundwave was an opportunist. He was loyal ONLY because it was in his best interest to do so, and help solidify his position in the Decepticon ranks. Only when Metron was on his last spark aboard Astrotrain during the movie he did not interfere when Starscream jetisoned him into space. Even after that he was in the fray fighting over leadership. In conclusion Soundwave is not Cyclonus type loyal.
That makes no sense. Megatron was already jettisoned at that point. LoL Soundwave was sipping tea like Kermit when Starscream did what he did, and was the 3rd one being vocal about being leader when it was time to settle the matter. If he was as loyal he should have followed Megatron as he got thrown into space. Maybe we would have seen a better upgrade than SOUNDBLASTER (just different coat of paint) after Unicron got done with him :D
Olufolarin Oduntan sortly after victory, just barely surviving, the decepticon with the best voice in the show prepares to speak, BUT BEFORE HE CAN SAY HIS FAMOUS LINE HE JUST EXPLODES! Then laserbeak, his faithful pet scoops up his head and returns him to the base
Olufolarin Oduntan they both get brought back as upgraded forms. Soundwave gets fixed and reincarnated into Soundblaster, and Blaster gets fixed and reincarnated into Twincast
Piggy Oink Oink sound wabe and blaster came back to life in the next episode as rejected smash bros pallette swaps and had their names legally to soundblaster and twincast and they lived happily ever after except optimus who is probably going to be back later
christimacc They are bigger than us so a more accurate estimate would be 40-60 feet, cause if you look at the size chart that the animators had (which kinda didn't matter, because of the glorious errors) Soundwave was like two, and a half Rumble/Frenzys tall And we know Rumble/Frenzy is about the size of (most likely taller than) Spike Witwicky, so if we estimate that Spike is six feet tall, we can say that G1 Soundwave is about 14-16 feet tall, For now we will safely estimate 15 feet so if we were to lay a couple of Soundwaves on the floor in between the real Soundwave, and Blaster-- They should be about three Soundwaves apart, which leaves us with least 45 feet. for them it's 10 feet, for us it would be 45... That took a good amount of math ',:)
Also, this fight was pretty brutal. Not only was it heartbreaking to see Blaster and Soundwave die by each other's hands (even though they both get revived shortly after), but it gives me flashbacks to the fight between Optimus and Megatron in the 1986 movie, which was also pretty brutal.
There’s something very interesting about this show. The original cartoon was a purely American cartoon and follow up shows-even those that take place in the same continuity-were clear animes, but this show walked the line between the two. From the animation to the intro to the fight choreography to the music to the way they stand there and say each other’s names while watching the fight, it has a very anime approach. And yet it doesn’t commit to it fully, keeping things like the original character designs, the transformation sounds, and even the screen transitions with the logos, complete with the classic musical jingle. This scene so perfectly encapsulates this “gray zone” element of the show perfectly.
This is one of my most memorable moments in Headmasters. The battle was short, but I still remembered it clearly like it was yesterday. It's so nostalgic looking back at it again.
I wish this series got officially dubbed, Frank Welker would've killed it with the performance of Soundwave and Galvatron's anguish (Since they got Frank to replace Leonard Nemoy after the Movie), and I also wonder how he would've voiced SoundBlaster after his reincarnation
Hasbro and Sunbow could have taken an approach similar to Voltron and Robotech, making new episodes by combining footage from this series with select footage from the 70+ episodes of G1 that were animated by Toei. The carefully placed bits of old footage would have essentially created the illusion that Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Galvatron didn't die and Cybertron wasn't destroyed, since things like that wouldn't have gone over well with Western fans.
Supertron5000 yeah, that would've been awesome. I wish if they did something like that, they added in an arc where Optimus Prime temporarily dies again, but similarly to Blaster, Soundwave, and Megatron, gets rebuilt and upgraded into his Powermaster form and returns as a mainstay (I know in Japan he's a completely unrelated character and whatnot to Prime, but it would've been a way better method to market him in the West in my opinion, rather than keeping his only Adaptation Counterpart telling war-stories to some random live-action kid in re-runs, or keeping his arcs tied to the Marvel Comics, which had nothing to do with the main G1 TV series in the first place)
@@8bitsniper568 Yeah, Headmasters footage could have been used to make Season 4, and Masterfoce footage could have been used to make Season 5. And, whenever necessary, they could combine it with footage from older episodes. For example, Cybertron doesn't appear in Masterforce, so they would have had to recycle shots from previous seasons to keep up the idea that Cybertron is still a major part of the story in Season 5. If Hasbro decided to import the exclusive characters, maybe Overlord would have been the new Powermaster body for Megatron. After all, they did briefly rename him "Gigatron" when they first tried introducing Overlord to the US market.
Supertron5000 seriously though, if a sequel series were made in the West, and the series would end with a 1986 style smackdown of Powermaster Optimus Prime and Galvatron, I probably would've skipped school just to watch it 😂
That's a cool connection! Hiroya Ishimaru voicing both Hot Rod/Rodimus and Koji Kabuto shows his versatility in anime voice acting. It's always fascinating to discover these kinds of connections between different characters voiced by the same actor.
Hiroya Ishimaru is indeed incredible! He's known for his versatile talents in acting, voice acting, and narration, making him a highly respected figure in the entertainment industry. What specifically do you admire about his work?
There were an upgrade to him in the horison for holding 2 tapes simultaniously, so needed a reason for people buying him again. He comes back next episode doing the same thing he always did but as a minor role. Worse for Blaster, he stays dead a few episodes longer and comes back giving me the impression they repair him for the sole reason Daniel cant stop whining about it, getting a role of shooting a bug thing frim Soundblasters chest and say "see ya!" And never to be use in the show again
Why the heck is Daniel always crying? He needs to be kidnapped by Piccolo and sent for 12 months in a terrible jungle or something like Gohan from DBZ. Just saying...
MDVPhoenix says to rodimus "You don't know how the autobot deployees feel, nobody does" YOU WERE AT OPTIMUS PRIMES FUNERAL AND YOU KNOW HOTROD WITNESSED ALL 3 IF THEM!!!
dank memer Soundblaster is the same god as Soundwave. The only thing that changed was his color. He went from blue to black. His personality and loyalty to Galvatron remained unchanged.
I think this show playing in a cruel form with your feelings (specially if they were your favorites) when I see this for first time I thinking they were not appeared again, specially Soundwave. When I see Soundwave explodes, he remembers me like Predator´s explosion.
Only .Magenta Then they come back two episodes later and then you think to yourself "so death doesnt matter in this show anymore" then you relize Optimus prime still is dead
I found it ironic that both of them had to throw a punch to smash through their respective chests just because they have a glass? screen for a chest and at 1:09/1:10 how did Soundwave lose his arm from that punch that was clearly to the face?. Was his right arm really weak from not being his arm he uses to eject his cassettes?.
riicky83 Well... Blasters chest is not entirely glass, which would make his chest area stronger than soundwaves Soundwave had punched Blaster in the chest with his right arm, so when he hit the metal (Or whatever it is) on Blasters chest,it weakened his arm a great amount So when Blaster hit Soundwave (in the face? I wasn't paying attention) It was enough force to knock Soundwave's arm straight off Another reason why he could be weak is that, if I'm correct, Soundwave is a old Robot (over four million years old!!) So that would explain why his arm came off, along with him blowing up Hope this was helpful to you in any way :)
I heard that Blaster and Soundwave's death was really heartbreaking, because first, Blaster and Soundwave both lose in their fight and it ended in a draw with both of them dead, then, their Blaster and Soundwave's Minicons lose their owners, then both teams mourn the death over the loss of their comrades, it was really sad just like the Raid Universe Bugs and Pests, who also suffer the same sad scenes.
We would have been disturbed to see this if this made america lol Those who.knew soundwave from the first episode more than meets the eye to see him killed off like this
The only bot in any of the shows Megatron/Galvatron ever cried for when they died and that would be Soundwave On the flip side the bot Megatron/Galvatron has killed the most would be Starscream
its honestly the lamest fight to the death ever, they just stand still and shoot each other for a few minutes. But I always have and always will have a fond love for this scene for whatever reason. I always remember it being way cooler than it actually is
this is Transformers Headmasters, Japan never got any of the Season 4 episodes, instead they replaced with this and made it a direct sequel to the G1 cartoon
I remember being fascinated when seeing this for the first time. Largely due to finally seeing evidence of the Japanese series that I had only considered to be a rumor for so long. But yeah, this fight is nothing special. Same with the whole series.
Megatron, shockwave and soundwave was created at the same time since they was with him since the beginning at war Dawn this might explain why he never scolded soundwave and shockwave like he did other troops they was brothers created by liege maximo
And the man who at one point was named getto blaster and his other name I'm not mentioning died and remained in g1 soundwave however would continue to show up in cartoons and movies.
They actually had this series going in February of 1987, where as the rebirth trilogy we got was in September 87, even watching masterforce when I saw autobot and decepticon in a book Ginrai was being shown I assumed that these were originally supposed to be dubbed but I guess we got screwed
