And why couldn’t a MacGuffin be just useless when both heroes and villains believed it was a world-ending device when it’s actually useless for villains to use? If Megatron gets the AllSpark, he’s using it to create an army, but it turns out his new army are cannon fodder because they were just born, which leads to Megatron’s failure. If the Fallen gets the Matrix of Leadership, it doesn’t activate the Energon Harvester as the latest Prime, like Optimus Prime, is the one to activate it, resulting in the Fallen’s defeat. If Sentinel Prime gets the Pillars, it doesn’t work because it only connects to other Space Bridge locations, and because Cybertron is devastated, there’s no way of transporting back to their home planet, resulting the arrest of Sentinel Prime. If Galvatron or Lockdown gets the Seed and detonates it, it’ll suffer the same fate as the AllSpark I pointed out, resulting Lockdown and Galvatron’s failure. If Quentessa gets the Staff, it doesn’t work because only the descendant of Merlin would use it, resulting Quentessa’s defeat.

Hell, the original TOY had better motivations for being a villain than these movies did! "Peace through tyranny", anybody??

@@Bobsheaux Bayformers was f*cking weird, they had these comics that filled in all the backstories of the characters that ganked the backstories of their Optimus Prime and Megatron from Go-Bots. *GO-BOTS!!!*

Not to mention on how much of a bitch they made Megatron in these films. Literary after the first film where I feel he was in his prime he later on towards the sequels became this indentured servent towards the other big baddies.

Someone need to cut together Riker's "SHUT UP! Close your mouth and stop making sounds!" with Prime's speech. :)

They're all the same in these movies. "I am Optimus Prime." "Earth is my home." "We must protect this planet from the Decepticons." Peter Cullen is a great voice actor, but he's completely wasted by saying these repetitive speeches.

@@operator7209 It's like the writers of these films have no idea how to write the Transformers themselves and just have them seem so basic. Bumblebee can't talk and has to use audio clips from other stuff. The comic relief is obnoxious and also a stereotype. Optimus is super serious and makes a speech every five minutes. Megatron is evil and wants to do something to the Macguffin. And whichever Autobot or Decepticon is shown, they're just there.

Seriously? That’s your biggest nitpick with this movie? Not the continuity errors, the nonsensical retcons, the crude/racist humor, the sexist portrayal of women, the annoying and unnecessary characters, the boring and repetitive special effects, the terrible designs and CGI, the god awful dialogue and characterization (or lack there of). Or how about the fact that they allowed Bay to make not one, not two, but FIVE of these stupidly unnecessary and completely repetitive “Movies”.

Anime Tomboy Enthusiast it was like a godsend. I’d rather have less transformers with more screen time, and have a solid design, and get actual character development than the literal walking junk piles we got for 5 movies. Plus it basically retconned all the movies. And I’d love to see a Hasbro cinematic universe that takes place in the 80s with transformers, mask, gijoe, and maybe even Jem and the holograms

....GLRK!!!... Pardon me, my brain just seized up... How can an idea sound that stupid, but also make TOO MUCH SENSE? lol

The gravely injured primordials transfer their remaining power into one of their own to carry on as the leader of Cybertron and they send the sun harvester to be hidden away. The sun harvester is revealed to be hidden in the sahara desert and The Fallen begins to power it up, all as a means to gain energon for the decepticon forces and to spite his brothers. The autobots find the sun harvester as well as a large number of decepticons and desperately try to keep it form destroying the sun, which would consequently destroy earth. Sam, having contacted the army through connections given to him from the events of the first movie, has the airforce help the autobots get close enough to reach the harvester and deactivate it. The angered Fallen and Megatron attack Optimus at the same time, leaving him seriously wounded. Sam shoots at them both from his spot on an airplane, drawing their attention and giving Optimus ample time to disarm Megatron and engage The Fallen. Ultimately, he sees that The Fallen will do whatever he can to destroy earth, Optimus apologizes to Primus and shoots The Fallen in the head after catching him off guard. The Fallens body falls on the sun harvester, exploding it and destroying them both. The autobots regroup after the decepticons retreat and reconfirm their resolve to protect earth, finally allowing humanity to see them out of their disguises. Dark of the moon. 4 years later, the autobots have integrated into human society, for the most part, well (some helping in construction, catching speeding vehicles to aid the police, etc). Optimus, still trying to find more survivors, intercepts a faint distress beacon that belongs to a very special autobot; Sentinel Prime. Overjoyed at having found his mentor, Optimus and other autobots take the Ark to bring him back. Megatron, having taken on that armored truck mode, lives in Africa in shame over his losses, neglecting his festering injuries (like you said Bob; literally and physically a broken man). Before Megatron can continue wallowing in self pity, Soundwave informs him that the autobots have found Sentinel Prime. Grinning maliciously over this news, Megatron allows the autobots to find Sentinel and let them revive him before going on with "the plan". After retrieving and reviving him, Sentinel asks what has become of the war, to which Optimus says continues to rage on, earning a sorrowful look from him. Later on, Megatron leads a large faction of decepticons to attack the autobot base and kidnap Sentinel, killing many autobots and soldiers in the process (much to Sentinels anger). Finally clear of the autobots, Megatron reveals his plan; to use Sentinels space bridge technology to bring Cybertron into earths orbit and syphon all of its resources to give power back to their planet and have enough to give more energon to his forces to finish the war once and for all. Sentinel refuses to partake in such a heinous plan, but Megatron has the decepticons strap him down and use his own spark to power the space bridge. Many scenes later, Cybertron begins to appear over earths atmosphere, causing several natural disasters all across the globe. While Megatron is distracted, Sentinel has enough free will to create a ground bridge that transports himself, Megatron and the decepticons to the location of the autobots, which is unfortunately in the middle of the city. A fierce fight ensues with heavy casualties on both sides. Bumblebee, shooting off Sentinels bonds, suffers heavy injuries from his enemies before falling to the ground. Sentinel, having at least half of his power, fights off the decepticons before they can kill Bumblebee and deactivates the space bridge, sending Cybertron back to its original location. Now, Optimus begins his final confrontation with a supercharged Megatron, but Sentinel tells Optimus that he will not fight alone. The three combatants engage in a fierce fight, resulting in Sentinel being mortally wounded and Optimus at Megatrons mercy. Sam, after hiding Carly (now his fiancee) behind some rubble, picks up a grenade launcher dropped by another soldier and shoots it at Megatrons head, angering him. Before Megatron can shoot him in retaliation, Bumblebee fires off several shots and takes Sam and Carly away. Megatron hears Optimus call from behind and turns around to face him, only for Optimus to run his sword through Megatrons chest. Optimus somberly looks on at the dying Megatron (it should never have been this way, Megatron. But I had to stop you, no matter the cost....). Megatron finally accepts defeat and dies in Optimus' arms, who slowly lowers his body on the ground, covering it with the tarp Megatron used to conceal his "rotting" wounds. Optimus and the surviving autobots gather around the dying Sentinel and he laments over all that has happened; "Oh my friends, this is all our fault... This war was started because of a misguided need for power and our world paid the price for it. We've lost many of our people and now the humans have had to pay for a war that was never theirs. Please, people of the world, forgive our foolishness." The people present, after some initial hesitation, come out of hiding and forgive Sentinel and thank the autobots for saving their world. Sentinel, content that his people are not seen as monsters, slowly drifts off as the autobots carry him away for funerary rites. Now with the decepticons gone, the autobots can rebuild the trust they initially had with the humans in a hopeful epilogue. Now if anyone can make Age of Extinction and The Last Knight work, that would be great. :P Happy 300th review Bob! :D

They would have worked much better form the get-go if Bay simply wasn't involved with the series. Just like how DC movies started moving up in quality after Zack Snyder was removed from the command chair.

If I were to make a 5 movie cinematic Transformers series, I would frame it in the context of an escalating villains threat, akin to the MCU building up to Thanos. The main villain of the first movie could be Starscream, who has led the Decepticons while Megatron was missing, the movie could end with the Cons finding and retrieving the frozen Megatron but Starscream, of course, is reluctant to thaw him out and does everything he can to keep his former master out of the picture. By the second movie, Megatron's more loyal subordinates (like Soundwave and such) do thaw him out and Starscream plays along, pretending to be loyal to Megatron while secretly planning to destroy him and resume command. It doesn't work, and Starscream gets killed by Megatron by the end, with the latter firmly resuming his position as big bad. The third movie could have Megatron working with another villain (like maybe Lockdown) or simply highlight new, more loyal Decepticons (like Shockwave) while keeping Megatron as the big bad. Alternatively, an Autobot turn heel (as Sentinal did) and join forces with Megatron could be very intriguing (and tragic) if properly executed. The fourth movie would raise the stakes by introducing the Fallen (formerly Megatronus Prime of the original 13 Primes) as a greater evil than Megatron, and Megatron becomes subservient to him (maybe unwillingly and out of pragmatism, or willingly and out of admiration) and possibly have Fallen reformat Megatron into Galvatron. But the ending reveals that as powerful and nigh-invincible the Fallen is, he's actually a herald to the planet-eating Unicron, with whom the Fallen sided millions of years ago to gain more power (a classic, Faustian deal with the devil) and betrayed his brothers and their creator Primus. And we then we have the grand final with movie five, with Unicron as the big bad and Autobots and Decepticons being forced to unite to beat the ultimate evil in their universe.

Transformer 4: Following the Battle of Chicargo The opens A defence contractor James McCullen (Played by Christopher Ecclesson) meeting with Attinger with plan to provide the US Military with state of the art equipment to fight decepticons. Attinger says he doesn't just want to fight Decepticons he wants to hunt the Autobots as well if you provide me with those weapons then he will give him a blank cheque and life time UN military contract to provide UN with weapons to fight the Transformer. Agreeing to the deal MARS industries start producing the Anti Transformer weapons for Attinger and the UN Military not knowing these weapons is a Cobra plan to take over the world by stopping one threat in their plan the Autobots and Decepticons. Dashielle Fairbourne is on leave from Delta Six following the death of his ex-wife who lost her battle with cancer and start to be a part of his daughters Marisha life who grown to resent him for not being their for her or her mother in her time of need. When Dash discover Optimus in the his daughter workshop when they are attack James Savoy and cemetrey wing looking for optimus after a fight Dash beat up and caputre one of the weapons and escape with Optimus help. Dash dismantles the gun he stole from Cemetry Wing and disovered a failsafe with both the Decepticon logo mixed with Cobra logo on inside the weapon that once activate will shut down preventing the weapon from being used and allow Cobra or who an easy win. once Optimus, Dash and Marisha meet with the other Autobots. Dash says now some people that can help and his trust them 110% and call his Joes friends (Roadblock, Jink, Scarlet, Lady Jaye, Snake eye and Ripcord) .

I want to call BS on the Dora movie comment. But from what reviews I’ve seen, my morbid curiosity has been peaked. Let’s just hope this viewing will end better than when I decided to read the Twilight series. I regret that choice too this very day.

That's just toy-only-canon. I assume it was planned in an early script of the movie but canned, however Hasbro already made the toys by then.

@@calebporter3735 In Bayformers, it is vice versa. ILM creates the models first as needed by the script, and Hasbro makes the toys later. The reason the 2007 movie's toys often look nothing at all like the actual movie designs was that Hasbro had to work with early designs since toys have to start production like a year before the movie comes out...

-The Seven Original Primes being idiots that blow themselves up in RotF Any time a Transformer self-destructs, it's a red flag that the series you're watching/reading is garbage, Transformers are generally not walking bombs in series that aren't desperately grasping for false edginess (hence why, for example, Dinobot sacrifices himself by fighting to exhaustion instead of going *PRIMUS AKBAR BOOOOOM!!!* like in G2, TF vs Joe, etc., because Beast Wars is a _good_ series).

Somehow, despite not giving much of a crap about Star Wars, Rian's ruining of Last Jedi hurt more than these movies... Or maybe it is just after 5 of them, or rather, 6 (Bee movie was not as great as people said it was) I have gone numb?

If so then it's the worst jab at the Go-Bots in the entire Transformers franchise.
