If you enjoyed this, you’ll love my Little Mermaid coloring page from the Thomas Kinkade Disney Dreams Adult Coloring Book! Watch that one here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mlR4V6SIhkw.html
I did this loong ago with my kids, other kids in the family, and then with school children during rainy day recess. I used Crayola. ALL of the kids stopped coloring after awhile to just watch me color, and ask questions. It was fun to show them how to shade, highlight, and use a mix of colors on a face. I stood five feet away, showed them the multicolored face, and they were all impressed. It was cool.
It turned out really nice! Can I ask you something? I would love if you'd show the whole finished picture a little bit longer! Ah, and those coloring books are really nice too!
@@SarahRenaeClark I completely agree with this comment! You need to film a longer finished picture! Since I feel I didn't get a good grasp of the entire image. As a 3 weeks later viewer I had to scroll minimal (5 rows down) but if someone comes to this video 6 months you can't expect them to scroll all the way down to see the finished picture.
This is beautiful!! I was taught to use purple and grey as a base for shadows, so I'm thrilled to see you do the same here, it brought such joy to me as you had the same reaction I did, trying to feel your way through, but then happily surprised by the way it turned out :) Also, thanks for answering about the papers info, I emailed you about recommendations so I'm thrilled to know you have a video about it so I can go ahead and print the planner :) Stay safe, from a fellow Victorian :D
This turned out beautiful!!! And I love how you give a little teaser of the next video at the end. That's cool! I don't know of another RU-vidr that does that! I'm sure there are some that do; I just don't know of any. And that has to take an immense amount of organization, planning, and foresight to do that! Impressive to say the least!
Ok I’m going to get lynched but I don’t really like coloured pencils. However for my nephew I’ll do anything. I’ve previously drawn and coloured Thor and Godzilla (Godzilla nearly killed me) and now he’s requested Hulk. Thought of picking up another green pencil fills me with dread. Please do a picture from the Marvel book, preferably with Hulk in, in solidarity!!! Great video. Thank you 💜
This turned out gorgeous! I think it isn't a balcony but the wall you can see in the Kinkade example perhaps? That or the person drawing this made a mistake :P
Lmao! I just creased up when you forgot Aladdin's name! I was like "it's the name of the film woman!" 😂 😂 Also, the best response to not being very good at something ever - "I'm not the best at it....yet!" I love it!
This turned out absolutely amazing!! I LOVE that things don’t always work the way you thought they would or wanted, and that you keep that in the videos to show us how to adjust and overcome those obstacles! It was really great that you took on the fabric of these characters. I’m very intimidated by fabrics and would love to see you take them on again! Maybe Cinderella 😍
I'd love to see you color one of the "intro pages" that presented the princesses in the Princess book. The sketchy drawing style on those pages was beautiful! Maybe Aurora's page? Edit: Or Moana! You didn't show it, but I saw on the description page you linked to that there is one
Gawe sticker yo iso iku dijual nang toko toko titipne gawe kaos kaos mengko yen gawe bis studio musik gambar yo iso yanx terhubung nang waltdisney warnerbross sembarang wes beby bebyne yo diramut bareng yanx opo jarene bapak muster wes
So satisfying to watch ! I have the impression that the promarkers are more high end like copics and ohuhu are a cheaper but still good quality alternative.
I've wanted to get into art so bad and it's been so intimidating. Once I found this channel, I realized coloring can ease me into this giant art hobby I've wanted to get into! Thank you!
@@SarahRenaeClark you deserve a prize for spending so much time on such a thin quality paper , using markers and not ending with holes all over the page .
That technique of using your finger to smudge the white acrylic marker and blend things out? So smart, and very fitting with the 'I'm not messy' sign you've got! Feeling super inspired to grab a coloring book right about now
Thanks Sarah, more useful colouring tips, love watching you colour. I grew up with Cinderella, don’t know if she is still in colouring books but would love to see you colour her if possible. By the way, thanks for fixing up the links for the Christmas bundle - working perfectly now.
This is absolutely beautiful. As someone who does not know how to draw, even in a colouring book, I am impressed by the dedication you have to make it as accurate as possible. I am glad your video popped up in my recommendations. As for the balcony, I do believe it is Jasmine's and they simply did not think about the impossibility of it behind in the foreground when the palace is in the background.
What I love about your work is how honest you are about making mistakes and not knowing "what you're doing" (though I didn't believe that one ;) ). And your results are so amazing. I like your channel more than most art channels and mostly it's because you seem so authentic to me. Have a nice weekend :)
I love my Windsor and Newton colored pencils! They aren’t as popular on RU-vid, put they do remind me of a wax version of a poly. I wish they had more colors! They truly are in my top 5 favorite. prism, poly, black widow, square bruts, and Windsor and Newton.
someone having square Bruts in it's top 5 can only be a wonderfull person . i'm looking forward as well to see Sarah give us her insight on those windsor pencils .
Great job! It’s beautiful! As far as coloring the folds and creases of clothing from scratch, I’ve found it’s easier if I imagine the shape of the body, the direction the fabric wants to hang when unimpeded, and the places we bend the most, thus creasing the cloth. It also helps to watch clothes-making videos. I recommend Abby Cox, Rachel Maksy and Morgan Donner’s channels. They’re all about historic dressmaking and they’re fun to watch even if you have no interest in clothing.
I have the same Aladdin puzzle! And Aladdin is one of my favourite Disney movies, and somehow I always forget his name too, so I'm glad it's not just me! The drawing is absolutely stunning, especially the tricky sunrise sky.
I love watching you colour in it is so amazing and beautiful. Really enjoying the Disney especially Thomas Concade colouring pages they are absolutely stunning and your take on them is so amazing to watch.
Your coloring books art is very beautiful. I want to start doing coloring books art on my channel. I want to know if you had any good advice you will give me to start for the new year. I hope you have a happy new year.
I'm so glad youtube recommended this video to me! I love the art, the style of the video and the background is so creative and I aspire to do something like that for my art supplies one day! :D
Aladdin was always my favorite Disney movie as a kid! Well, I guess Aladdin was tied for the number one spot with the Little Mermaid! But I LOVED Jasmine. Her and Ariel have always been my favorite Disney princesses! I love all the Disney princesses, but they were always my favs as a kid! And the BEST Disney movies are the recent Tinker Bell movies! The Pirate Fairy is my favorite but they are ALL excellent movies! I could watch them all day every day!
I’m kinda doing an amateur version of this. I have the princess book Thomas Kincaid. I had the other one but I got to scared. I then got really into loving coloring at work with the kids but then more advanced at home. I made ai images for other projects and made some sheets I wanted to see if can copy it. It’s had but fun. I then watched some coloring videos and so I rebought this impossible book. I have Lisa Frank and poorly done girls with guitars but sone image are fun. I also kept a few of the book I got for my class to practice Disney. I love learning about colors but not sure what I’ll do with it. I looked at the one advanced princess one . I only a few pics from it and it didn’t look advanced.i want the in between the way too detail and way to supymbotpy. I want to leant the .Bell in the show but also that dress.
Little late to the party here, but your mysterious balcony isn't meant to be a balcony. Pretty sure it's the exterior city wall way down at ground level. They're flying over it and out of Agrabah. The foreground, outside the wall, is sand.
"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?" ~ John Lennon
I love your videos just because you are not afraid to show mistakes. I allways wonder with other videos why they never use an eraser or make mistakes. Great job on this one. One thing, you forgot to color Jasmine's fingers holding the carpet,. :)
Karen @ Zucchinikitty has zero problems showing mistakes, in fact they happen right on the videos and she just rolls with it. Correcting if she can and if not, finds a way to disguise the mistake.
that mysterious belcony could be the place Aladin was squating in, as when he pulled the curtin back in the movie he was across from the castle! princess jasmine was with him when he did this! i hope that helps! :) love your work!
This turned out amazing!! One thing that I learned about coloring or painting with light and shadows in mind is that you might want to try starting with your light source first before you color anything else, since that will help you determine the direction of the light and the colors you use. For example, if you have a complex lighting scheme like this it helps make things easier to do the sky first so that it helps keep everything consistent instead of deciding how to approach the sky after most of the background is done. It's not as important if you're using reference images like in this video, but his so very helpful for when you're coming up with your own lighting scheme.
Don't hate me but I think the golden roofs turned out too red even in this lighting. They have an odd reddish shimmer even in the original art but they are usually still clearly recognizable as gold.
Sorry but a says that castle looks like fire hydrant or a light house just but colour some vibrant. But I have say that it good that your trying and using colours that some people would not have the balls. I am aussie wish learn more about colour and drawing but have trouble that moment doing that due health reason but if l would like too try get same lessons.
I think the Thomas kinkade is taken somewhere else in the world they are on a flying carpet in a whole new world they travel to man locations in the world and end up in Asia. Hense why the garden doesn't look middle eastern and the sky looks different to
Watching now, it's looking amazing!! When are you planning another live? I love those. Oh by the way, I had to color gold on an image and from your tutorial mine turned out pretty good, so thanks friend!
First of all: your version looks great. I really wonder about the sunrise, because in the original movie the two fly through the night (and he wears his prince dress). There is a scene where they break through the clouds and you can briefly see the last rays of the sun, but otherwise a clear starry sky.
Great work, Sarah! I can see the growth in your use of color and lighting! Have you watched any of Marco Bucci’s videos on RU-vid? I think you would love his instructional videos!
@@SheryllMonique I haven’t really sold my final pieces anyway, but it’s something I’ll think about doing in the future. Most of my products are created digitally.
Since I’m a colorist not an artist by far, I don’t know how to color in those Thomas Kincade coloring books. I have the Posh Adult Coloring Book: Thomas Kinkade Designs for Inspiration & Relaxation a friend bought for me. I have no idea how to color those pics. I wanted to color a pic to show appreciation to my friend for buying the book for me but I messed it up terribly. I see others experienced artists create beautiful colorings in that book but they are beyond my abilities.
Have you read the Alladdin fairy tale of 1001 nights? I read a version where Prince Ali orders a dschinni castle to prove his legitimacy. So it could be his.
I would LOVE to see you color the page next to this one! The one with Jasmine and Raja! Aladdin was always my favorite Disney movie growing up, I had Aladdin everything; dolls, coloring books, figurines, posters, sleeping bag, and more! And I always loved Raja because he is protective over Jasmine and I thought that was sweet that a tiger, which in reality is not an animal that is safe to keep as a pet lol would love her so much and protect her! PLEASE color a picture with Jasmine and Raja! That would make my day!!! I love you and your art!
