Use a sewing pencil to mark your straight cut lines. They're usually white and wash or wipe right off...alot of people can't write, cut etc etc anything straight freehand. I sure can't!

0:10 that's basically the origin of most jeans shorts I've ever worn. Cut up old jeans, fold over, stitch the edges. Though I had to do it by hand. Why? Cause denim shorts cost more than full length jeans
