I disagree, but not for the same reasons as you. I am maybe the only transgender woman even attempting to compete in USA Boxing. I have searched far and wide to fidn any other transgender people in amateur boxing. I can't find any. You missed an important part of the policy. You are required to wait four years after surgery. Not only do you have to have surgery and be at a certain hormone level, you also have to wait four years after surgery. I'm not 4 years after surgery yet. I asked USA Boxing to allow me to compete against men since I don't want to wait another uear just to try a developmental bout. No way. They absolutely refused that. But they did say that if wait another year until I meet the 4 year requirement, I can get in the ring with any woman who is willing to compete with me. Additionally, they refused non-athlete membership because I couldn't meet the transgender athlete policy requirements. I cannot be a time keeper, a judge, or a referee because I am not yet years after surgery. USA Boxing's decisions have nothing at all to do with safety or any of the other stuff they have claimed. It is purely their attempt to exclude a group of people they have deemed undesirable.
As long as they compete against their biological sex or in a trans divisions why shouldn't they. But if they are trying to box biological women based off of their "gender identity" than no that's not safe for real women to fight
there are not really enough trans fighters male or female for that to be viable. I'd also be willing to bet my kidney that a dude who has been on testosterone for like 5 years is much more mismatched against cis women than trans women are
