When I was a kid in the 70s our school bus was an orange MK1 with widows and a varnished wooden bench down either side. Zero safety, if we'd had a crash it would of been fucking carnage in the back. Happy days 😂

These vans are literally bomb proof and can be fixed with a flat screwdriver and a adjustable spanner they don't make them like this anymore

the york derv engine pulled well but was a pig to start when cold the Perkins 4 108 derv was in them as well with auto box i took mine out made a back plate and stuck a Peugeot 504 2.3derv in. it started Avery time over 45 mpg and pulled like a train push rod no belts they stuck them in the ford p 100 pick up good engine at the time. the york went for export .spears
