For someone like me who always runaway from teaching or public speaking, is there a volunteer program for people to come see if they can teach or what it entails on free days? What courses or certifications can one take if you want to consider teaching?

@folakeoluleye4652 Fabulous! I'll encourage you to start from where you are. Get involved in teaching and supporting students and colleagues in your area, and seek constructive feedback. Most ITUs have education facilitators or PDNs, you can volunteer to shadow them during some teaching sessions, have a go, and get feedback. Do your PS/PA trainings and use the familiar environment to build your confidence, and you can take it from there. All the best!

What band level is the lecturer

They don't use "Bands" in academic, and it slightly varies for for different universities. However, the minimum entry level that I've seen is equivalent to a band 6 in AFC.
