Good morning, everyone! Welcome back to the channel. Today is Saturday, and it's a beautiful day here in Minnesota. If you've been following my recent videos, you'll notice a bit of a change in scenery. Instead of my usual van setup, I'm cruising around in a Hyundai for my first event gig. Join me as I take you through my day!
So, what's on the agenda for today? Well, I've onboarded with three different companies for this event. One of them is focused on liquor, and I'll be stationed at a grocery or liquor store. But right now, I'm at Target, gearing up for some promotion work with the new Crest mouthwash.
The day kicks off at eleven, and it's a full shift until 4:30. But hey, the pay isn't bad at all-I'm pulling in $28 an hour for this gig, and $30 an hour for the others. Plus, I genuinely enjoy mingling and chatting with new folks, so it's a win-win.
Ever wondered how I find these gigs? Well, I stumbled upon this opportunity through an app called Trusted Herd. It's a fantastic platform where you can browse and apply for event jobs nationwide. Trust me, if you're on the hunt for a fun and easy side hustle, this might just be your ticket.
But before we dive into the event, let me give you a quick life update. Yesterday was a bit of a whirlwind-I was up at the crack of dawn for a trucking job that lasted till noon. And speaking of updates, I recently received some biopsy results for Joy. It turns out she had basal cell carcinoma, but thankfully, they were able to remove it all. As for the other spot, it's a superficial cancer that we'll need to address soon.
Now, back to the event grind. Setting up for these gigs is pretty straightforward; just follow the merchandising guide, and you're good to go. But let me tell you, trying to sell mouthwash on a warm day like today is no easy feat, especially when there's free food being handed out nearby!
As the day winds down, I can't help but reflect on the hustle and bustle of event work. It's definitely been an experience, and I'm excited to share it with you all. So, stay tuned for more updates, reviews, and adventures coming your way.
