Do you have a better chance to get into University Park if you apply Early Action - Summer? Does offering to start in June help your odds? Also, if you do Summer Start, do you have to move from one 'summer' dorm to another dorm for Fall?
I transferred schools this year (i am a junior) but was unable to take any ap courses because they didn’t think i’d have enough time to complete the summer assignments that go with the classes. will this hurt my chances of admission if i take 3-4 aps my senior year and have a 4.0 uw gpa?
Colleges take into account the things like transferring schools when reviewing your application. Most also allow you to write a short essay explaining unusual circumstances, such as the school not allowing you to take APs. :)
The best way to make friends in college is by talking to other people. For example, ask one person in one class to be your study buddy. As you meet with them, figure out if you have any interests in common. If you do, great! You're well on your way to making a friend. If not, you've still got a study buddy. Then do the same thing in another class, and another. You'll find people you like. :)
Penn State is currently SAT-optional and is trialing the Duolingo English test for this year: admissions.psu.edu/info/future/international/requirements/#:~:text=Applicants%20may%20submit%20DET%20results,score%20of%20120%20is%20required.&text=Penn%20State%20does%20not%20accept%20TOEFL%20MyBest%E2%84%A2%20Scores.
