i would recommend taking a year of algebra based physics before c but it is possible to take physics c directly if you learn quickly and get a good intuition of concepts

It is possible to sign up for an AP exam without taking the class. It's risky, but if you are adamant, speak to your school's AP coordinator/counselor :)

Sometimes, you can also take preparatory courses online or through other schools!

Physics 2 is Algebra-based, so you don't need to take calculus concurrently.

@@jasonpatel13yeah true I wish my school offered ap physics c but they don’t so the highest level physics class I can do is ap physics 2. Is it a bad idea to go into ap physics 2 without having done ap physics 1? I did honors physics and had a 96 average so the teacher recommended I take the jump. Even then, I am still unsure.

Only took Ap Physics 1 in highschool and now a Phys major at a school ranked higher than Harvard in physics. It doesn’t really matter
