I am a 67-year-old person who lives between my home in Tokyo and my parents' house in Ibaraki. Last month, my family and I contracted COVID-19 and experienced a long period of self-isolation at home. I believe there are still people who are currently infected and going through anxious days. First and foremost, I wish for their physical recovery, and then for them to be able to return to their normal lives.
Experiencing the inability to do everyday things as usual made me realize and appreciate everything I had before. Even if it was something trivial, I realized how luxurious it was.
Therefore, my luxury is being able to live my daily life as usual, being able to listen to the voices of the little things around me, and being able to find beauty and joy in ordinary things.
I hope I can continue to do this forever.
