Depends on the context. Battery buses are more flexible in their routes. They can be switched to different routes as needed. That future-proofs the fleet in case the area changes within a decade and the fleet needs to focus in a different area of the region.
No plans for that. This fleet will offset diesel and CNG. There are no plans to replace trolleys. Translink has confirmed that, and in fact a new order of Trolleys will be placed with the earliest delivery expected around 2026 or so
