This is the theme from the Wind Tower in Quest Mode, composed by Masaharu Iwata and Hitoshi Sakimoto. What can I say? It's freaking awesome! The bass and percussion just knock it out of the park!
It's a bit strange that a decent but completely unremarkable conversation of an old arcade game happens to have the most technically advanced and awesome sounding music that the megadrive has ever produced.
Limitations breed creativity, it's all in how you use the hardware. This game is easily in the top 10 on the Genesis/Mega Drive of best composed and programmed music.
Dude, the Genesis used an actual professional grade soundchip as its music brain, and the composers of this are the geniuses who did the Final Fantasy Tactics soundtracks before they were famous.
