This month we take a trip to the trolleybus museum at Sandtoft and take a ride on vehicles from Huddersfield and New Zealand. There's also a glimpse of the unique Network Rail class 950.
Super museum not far from me. I loved the trolleybuses in Glasgow (one route) Bradford, Bournemouth, Reading, Nottingham and much of my school days in London. So clean and quiet and such accelaeration! Huddersfield went the year after I left school. I went to a 'London day' at Sandtoft some years ago but really must revisit. On a trolleybus in London (Chiswick), Jim Price pointed out some aluminium slots above the stairs. They were for the conductor to try bending suspect coins. Many different slots as we then had so many different coin denominations.
