I just got a similar top fitted Black roof on my white NV300 and am well happy with the look as you were I used a company in Par in Cornwall I was very happy with the build quality The name of the company is "altitude roofs" They have all their staff work on one van at a time and get a amazing job done super quick We booked a half a week holiday but they had it done same day and i would totally recommend them I did a Google review showing the work As i believe they're quite new and deserve to be seen if you are in the south west looking for a poptop or conversion

The pop top you've got is a good well known make it's always worth spending at extgermany to get what you want It looks good though what you've done you've just got a shop around I'm a lot of good though I like it You change your double seat to a single sentenceBecause that's what people do change a double seat to a single seat

A black pop top roof gets no hotter inside as long as you have the mesh side windows for ventillation. The bad news is because it is black the sunlight is absorbed along with the sun's heat into the pop top material itself, which causes problems. My black pop top and the installer that i used's van black pop top, both overheated in that intense sun in the summer. It caused the anti slip rubbers under the rear scissor mechanism supports to degrade, this caused the pop tops to be able to walk forward within the pop top bolt positioning slide holes ( driven by the struts ), even though the bolts were fitted to the correct torque, which eventually fouled the deflector causing it to not shut. The pop top had to be readjusted, new anti slip rubbers placed underneath the scissor supports and two new round locator screw holes and screws fitted in each scissor leg support, to stop it from walking forward ever again. The fitter said that this has only happened twice to him and both were black pop tops. As a belt and braces approach, I personally am going to get some insulated silver deflector material, to place over the hinge areas of the pop top, when it is hot next summer, when it is laid up.

Out of Interest, does the black canvas increase heat in the sun? I am getting a West Dubs fitted and thinking dark grey, I could go to a lighter colour but don't want the inside of the van bathed in a colour such as red or blue with the sunlight. Could go to a light grey.

Do you know if they have an option to have the sliding panel to finish off the ceiling when the bed is down? So that the straps and tent isnt visible in the cab?

Nice! You may already know this but just in case. Always put roof down with window open or ideally sliding door open. Allows the canvass to fold in and stop getting caught in the scissors. Consider a bungee around pop top to help with this. There is a thing called a pop top bungee! Before finally pulling down tight to the frame do a quick check to ensure canvass is tucked away. Then enjoy!

Get a bellows bungee, they are a game changer. And it stops the hinges cutting the canvas

I have one question due to a wheelchair occupant I am limited to roof height. so if you can answer the question do you lose any height from the roof's original cross beams centrally down the length of the vehicle.
