Great video Dave. Very informative and easy to understand. I have a Class 7 Radioactive for Hospital work for example MRI and X Ray's when I sub contract for another courier.
Superb video, I use to handle DG in the airfreight industry exporting marine equipment many hidden hazards items on a yacht. I was great to see a drivers perspective of delivering hazardous cargo and the pros and cons. You seem very professional. Not hazardous but I have many loads that come out of a business near you keep an eye out for us Whiteley Couriers. I only use drivers with good feedback that are professional and you fit that bill.
Talking about insurance. Most peoples insurance doesnt cover them for collection or delivery to and from certain types of sites like train stations airports military bases
Cheers dave, had adr many years ago on tankers.now been courier about 16 months & been looking into it again. All my questions answered in a few minutes 👍
A good overview. As well as an ADR Packs licence, ADR PPE and ADR vehicle kit moving ADR in scope (orange plated) loads requires the haulier to have DGSA support, something which many owner drivers either aren’t aware of or wilfully choose to ignore. ADR General Awareness training is not really a grey area, it’s the minimum training standard for ADR EQ, LQ and below threshold loads - training record and certificate (not “licence”) still required. Note that many Roads Policing Unit officers now do the DGSA course and know CDG / ADR very well. ADR does not permit magnetic orange plates, they don’t meet the flame test or secure fitment requirements. CDG regulations were overhauled a while back especially with regards to Radioactives to bring it more inline with IRR radiation regulations - most would not have a hope of meeting the necessary compliance, and ONR are all over it at the moment
This depends on un number and quantities. Most laptops now have lithium batteries . If the battery is removable it's more than likely adr vs a phone with a battery as its integrated
