I was born with this condition. Couple surgeries as a baby in the early 80's (in South Africa). I am now 42, and have and continue to full a full healthy life :)
I received my results today I Passed NCLEX and most definitely attribute it in part to this U Tube site and your internet site. As a UK graduate who started nursing school 30 + years ago, a lot has changed and a lot of information had been forgotten and the USA is very different to the UK. Thanks for sites like this they are a great support
My boy started out taking premed nursing and switched to Phys. Therapist graduating Penn State making thee Deans. He recently passed his clinicals & presently working with a gent w/ ALS. Keep up the GREAT WORK! Mr. & Mrs.RN. Cheers...
I have a request for a video. Some of the most frustrating questions for me are the proper use of canes, walkers, and crutches (four-point, three-point, two-point, swing two, swing through) and going up/down the stairs with these devices. Please do a video on this because when I watch your videos the information actually sticks! Thanks keep up the great work!
I had this when I was a baby. My heart was flipped backwards with 2 holes in jt which actually was what kept me alive. They switched the 2 arteries and my heart is still on the opposite side. Going on 26, no further surgery but a slightly enlarged aorta which they're keeping a eye on.
Wow, I think I am going to treat myself to something; I finally got an 100% on first attempt of one of your quizzes. Great video. I memorized this stuff for the NCLEX PN but now, I don't need to for the NCLEX RN. Great great video!
I’m 38 yrs old and born with TGA had the mustard procedure and was the first baby in North America to have a injection to keep my air duct open to fly me to children’s hospital in Vancouver Canada …stent put in at 16 yrs old and had emergency brain surgery at 27 and best cancer 5 yrs ago the nurses at the hospital named me baby boy blue. As I was blue when I was born.
Good job .. 2 types of TGA- Dextro TGA & Levo TGA(also called CCtGa) - Summary- TGa- keep Duct open by PGE1 & do Atrial septostomy and then lead to ASO .. if Levo TGa- double switch 🥰
Im am 25 weeks preg... baby gas TGA with intact VSD.... by not having the hole defect will my daughter have more trouble for surgery? I was told maybe she will need the balloon procedure
Pray and get the best medical attention they can provide her!!! I never knew about me having this until I was 20 years old and unfortunately couldn’t get any correction surgery because it would be too intensive 😔
I was born in 1970. Had the mustard procedure in 1972. It's 2020 and I rode my bike 18 miles today. I'll never be a great athlete, but my doc says "no restrictions."
