Maybe it's the fact that my first experiences with Tomb Raider were with Chronicles and The Last Revelation, where Lara was voiced by Jonell Elliot. But I friggin' love her voice and it's the first that comes to mind when reading TR-related stuff. 😍
Yes, a quality collection of character voices from the sixth game in the Tomb Raider series. I used some of these sound files in my latest upload after editing some of 'em.
In the recent community celebration AOD streams, it was revealed in the stream covering the start of the game up to the storm drains that Pierre and Bernard were supposed to be a father/son con artist team who had fallen out with each other: the trinket box contained several hundred or thousand francs in cash that the two had swindled or stolen from Bouchard. There was to be a scene of the two fighting with each other on the street and I think there would have been more different events than just the route into the graveyard depending on who you gave the box to.
@@lionocyborg6030THANK YOU! I always wondered why these two wanted the same damn box yet that never came up in the game! I really appreciate this comment. 🥹
Wow there is so much cut stuff here! Especially with Kurtis I wonder If he was going to interact with more characters/have more quotes during the Sanatorium level. (Also forgive me for being gross but are his sounds kind of sexy? XD)
@@scottmurphy4278 there you go from @14:30 to @14:37 "huh" "what was that?" "nothing to report here" "stop !" "suspect on the run ! " (like a fugitive) "suspect aprehended" (caught) "where does this noise come from?" "I must be hearing voices" "hey you there!" "I lost her" "what'going on ?" or "what's happening?" "nothing to report here" (they used the acronym R.À.S here) "don't move!" or in this particular case it's the same as "freeze !" "the suspect has escaped" "let's go see over there" "I must have made a mistake" "hands up !" "I let her escape" (disappointed tone)
@@thatnorskchick2 me also! I'm trying to think of a scenario in the strahov where she might say this. Maybe she says this to the guard dogs in the cutting area? But I'm more inclined to believe it was aimed at an actual person. Maybe there was a deleted scene where a strahov guard releases the dogs to attack Lara. Who knows! It's really fun to speculate.
@@thatnorskchick2 I thought that line might have been in it, just later in the game at a point I have yet to reach, unless I'm missing something and it is if not cut.
@@dragooncroft I know this is pretty late to answer but the line of hot dog is probably when Lara finds Luddicks corpse burned, yeah, that's the most savage line of Lara if you ask me, but well Luddick was very annoying and selfish xD
@@martingarnier8009 I only really know the tutorial and later in game dialogue that’s read differently. I honestly don’t know why, but you can hear it when she says ‘don’t leave me hanging around’. In PS2 she really sounds like she’s saying it while struggling to hang on
@@94frankiec ok, interesting, thank you! Considering the development was a mess and that Jonell did her lines repeatedly, they probably messed up with the sound files for the PC version and didn't took the time to match the ones they chose for the PS2 version. Idk 🤔
Where would we be able to swim in Parisian Backstreets?... There are Czech phrases I haven't heard before! 14:25 Půjdu se podívat, co je to za hluk. To nic nebylo. = I'll go see what was the noise. It was nothing. 14:29 Utekli nám. = They escaped us. (There's no "universal" they in Czech, it really means multiple people here...) The way some lines go after one another is so funny! Carvier: Did you kill him? Lara: I'm not going to waste any more time here!!! 28:08 Did Lara say Merci? Aw :) 33:03 "Stand aside." Ooh Eckhardt was supposed to talk at Rennes'! A little, at least. 46:31 "Male and moving fast" So Kurtis checked Carvier's office? Who else would it be? Probably not a random mercenary. 46:55 Konec poplachu! = End of alarm! Haha I love how disappointed they are when they announce the intruder escaped. So serious but kinda like they want a hug :D 48:55 Aaah this is in German can anyone translate??? 50:20 And in WHICH language is this chant? I need translation also maybe Eckhardt would have a good singing voice... (Also I wonder what's the context) 1:05:33 Ooh Muller actually didn't want to babble out everything! But Lara "persuaded" him, wish I could see that. I wonder if there was supposed to be a small bossfight... 1:06:43 Tamhle je něco. Falešný poplach. Stůj! Co se stalo? = There's something over there. False alarm. Stop! What happened? "Okay, let's kill something. I've forgotten how much I've missed this!" - now, I don't know if those lines were supposed to be said together, but I choose to believe so :D I'd kinda like to know for which Kurtis needed that manic laugh... 1:15:11 Did Eckhardt really just go "Omae was mou shindeiru"? Wish Lara's pointers would be used for the bossfight - as in, we'd actually need them, instead of just waiting for Ecky to come to the center to stab him... Well, that was fun, thanks! :D
Thanks for the Czech translations! Haha, you know I NEVER caught the fact that Lara "persuades" Muller like that before, I love that 😆. Some of the file locations don't make sense in the first place (and there are clearly a lot I frickin missed putting into the right place, woops. I think my program is partially to blame). Like Lara talking about Eckhardt's glove and stuff was actually placed as far back as one of the Paris folders. That weird language may be Nephilim, I remember Murti talking about having him record it?
@@thatnorskchick2 Hey no prob! Sorry I didn't translate all of them, only those I haven't heard before... Yeah some of the files still sounded definitely misplaced, but hey at least we have them at all! Ooh do you think it'd be an actual made-up language? Now I'd need to know if it was just the few words of if Murti created an actual conlang with grammar and stuff (Kurtis' Journal has several different wiritng systems, one of them could be for it too!)
48:55 "dein nutzwert ist abgelaufen" can actually just be his "your usefullness is finished" in german really. but when you translate it word by word it means "your utility has expired" :d
Where are the character sounds located? I want to extract Lara's water death sound using awd2wav because the TR6 voice & SFX files on Tomb of Ash don't have it. They do have the rest though as far as I know.
Data>audio. You'll see all of the awd files to extract. When extracted, each AWD file will create 3 seperate folders ending with srd, scd, and std. Srd are sfx, scd has the water death as well as level music and ambience. Std contains dialogue.
