The amount of people that complain about the trap bar deadlift without realizing that all you need to do is flip the damn thing around for low handles is staggering. It’s like these people think that a barbell is a be all end all for every single strength training exercise. Good video and great rebuttals.
Trap bar deadlifts balance out the bottlenecks better than conventional for me. If I can't get a barbell off the ground, it's a low back bottleneck. I feel much safer grinding through a trap bar deadlift. Trap bar deadlifts are also better suited for higher reps ranges than conventional, but trap bars work well for low rep ranges too. Trap bars work more muscle mass, and I feel like Romanians are better for hamstring development than conventional. Everything I do trap bar deadlifts, I ask myself why I waste time with my conventional.
Best way to improve your deadlift... do deadlifts Using a gimmick bar that is FAAAARRR more likely to cause injury is just dumb. I feel bad you wasted your time on this production. And it is dangerous. Imagine teaching someone to do deadlifts but tell them to NEVER look at the alignment of the bar to their feet.
